Visiting from Michigan..This spot was super clean and well-kept, which I really appreciated. The customer service was quick and efficient, and everyone I interacted with was friendly. I also noticed the manager was really hands-on, making sure everything was up to date and running smoothly. You can tell they care about the place and the customers. Overall, a really positive experience.. especially after a long drive

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to visit a Chipotle that’s technically open but functionally out of business, look no further than the Elizabeth City location. We showed up around 8:00 PM… a full two hours before closing… and were treated to a buffet of disappointment.
They were out of shredded cheese (apparently they “made cheese once today, already,” because who doesn’t love freshly made cheese, right?), ran out of carne asada, and scraping the bottom of the pans for rice, guacamole, and basically everything else. The “red chimichurri sauce” listed on the menu? Gone too.
For nearly $50, we got to watch the staff pretend this was all totally normal. No apology, no offer to make it right… just a collective shrug and some sad, lukewarm leftovers. I’m literally sitting here waiting for food poisoning.
Hands down the worst Chipotle experience ever. If you’re into mystery ingredients and the thrill of guessing what might still be available, this is your spot. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and drive literally anywhere else.

It’s quiet (great atmosphere lol) and usually empty here for a reason. The portion sizes are minimal. Instructions are never followed. The service is horrendous regardless of how you place an order. And what really made me leave this review and stop wasting my money was the leaf blower by the To Go orders…

Chose a takeout order because we had work. Everyone in there looked like they’d rather be somewhere else. Food was terrible. I can’t believe how it was packaged. Cold food mixed with hot food. Chicken was dry and the salsa is not salsa, it’s Pico de Gallo, cilantro in the rice that was not cooked through, still had a crunch. And because the sour cream was in with hot food, it ran all over the plate. Won’t be going back

Unfortunately, this Chipotle has been consistently disappointing. The food is often dried out and does not taste fresh, which makes the meals unenjoyable. The lobby area is frequently dirty, with tables not cleaned and trash visible, creating an unpleasant dining environment. The restrooms are also poorly maintained and lack basic cleanliness. Overall, this location needs significant improvement in food quality and sanitation to meet the standards customers expect from Chipotle.

The restaurant was dirty in every visibl.je space. Food debris was on the counter tops, food prep surfaces, and along the hot serving line. Every single table not being used was dirty. The floors were covered in food waste and trash. The servers were not wearing adequate head covering in the food prep areas. I asked about the meats and the server told me the one closest to me was steak. It looked like dehydrated chicken. Chipotle should be ashamed.

The food and service was great but the restaurant was not being kept clean or restocked. There were no napkins or utensils. The counter by the registers and where they prepared the food had food all over it. Nothing had been wiped down and kept neat. The floors hadn’t been attended in a while either. I overheard other people mention it as well.

This location has ruined chipotle for me. My food always tastes sour, like something has expired. The assembly line is usually extremely messy, with employees carelessly dropping food all over the station and in other food bins. They are always out of something. If you order online, you’re guaranteed to not receive what you ordered because they “can’t make more rice until tomorrow.” Undercooked rice, overcooked but cold proteins. I don’t bothee going anymore. I was so excited to have one in town but I just can’t justify spending so much to only be able to stomach 1/4 of my food.

This place is dirty as sin! Every table was covered in food for dining in. The prep area were covered in bits of food. Does anyone wipe anything down? One employee just standing at the register with her hands on her hips not doing a dang thing.

Whoever the girls were working tonight are a pitiful excuse of employees. Ordered a burrito bowl online without any rice or beans cause I can’t have a lot of carbs and the bowl was 25% filled. Tried to take it back to get it remade and they told us “its portion controlled.” Which is insane cause I’ve gotten bowls from this and other locations and have NEVER had this issue. Literally would’ve been satisfied with more lettuce but they didnt wanna do their job. Trust the low reviews, this location is sad and I don’t see it lasting long.
