I am being very generous by giving Chipotle two stars. My fiancé and I eat here at least once every three weeks, and up until now, our experiences have been consistently positive. The food is usually fresh, hot, and well-prepared, which is why we continue to return.
However, today was completely unacceptable.
While eating my bowl, I discovered a long blonde hair in the food. I had already eaten a portion of the meal before noticing it. Neither I nor my fiancé have blonde hair. The discovery immediately made me sick to my stomach, and I ended up throwing the entire bowl away.
This is extremely unsanitary and should not happen in a food establishment. Proper PPE is supposed to include gloves, aprons, uniforms, and appropriate hair restraints. Incidents like this strongly suggest that hair containment protocols are not being properly enforced. Employees preparing food should be wearing hairnets to prevent contamination.
Customers work hard for their money, and it is unacceptable to pay for food that ends up in the trash due to preventable hygiene issues. I hope management takes this matter seriously and ensures stricter adherence to sanitation standards moving forward

If I could give zero stars I would!

I never post complaints but this now the 4th time I’ve had an issue.
After the third time and having to jump through email hoops, their corporate office comped 3 bowls to my rewards.

I ordered 2 bowls and 1 salad.
Got the dressing but no salad, but I was given a rice bowl instead. Ordered guacamole which of course I was charged for and did not receive. This is now the third time that has happened.

I have been to other Chipotle locations and I have NEVER had a bad experience at those but the one in Whitehall is the worst.

Always out of things, everyone looks lost and they clearly don’t read the online orders.

It’s either terrible management or no management at all.

You can’t call to address it. All you get is an automated recording and they send you an email.

I will not go back again. I was so excited Chipotle was coming to our area and they have seriously FAILED to live up to the standard they once had.

Save your money and go elsewhere!

Things have been getting worse and worse with Chipotle. Portions are getting smaller the prices are going up. It got to the point where I needed to order double meat to get the same amount that I would have gotten before as standard. Last time I was in there they were skimping on rice…RICE…you know the cheapest and most basic food staple. They want you to spend $12 for a cardboard bowl that is only half full. I’m finally done with this company.

Should have looked at the reviews before ordering, placed an online order was there within 10 mins of placement. They forgot the chips but had the dip? Thought that was the only issue no the entire bowl was cold, there was 3 strands of lettuce in the bowl and more cheese then everything else combined, forgot the salsa in the bowl and btw by cold I mean like frozen like come on guys I understand forgetting something I understand slightly uneven portions but I’m paying 17$ for a bowl and chips which for the same price could get WAY better and WAY more at one of the local Mexican restaurants. Then to top it off they were dead ok and the person at the service window just kinda threw my bag at me like she was in a rush. Then when I call to basically complain I get told “well um you gotta get approved for a refund or we can give you free food on the app” I’ve had a issue before with some places and honestly they refund and usually provide a free meal and apologize. Naw they act like you are some idiot. That call for support is why I am leaving my first negative review ever that is uncalled for same with cold food for 17$

This is the worst Chipotle I’ve ever been to. I would recommend driving to Morgantown (which is a 5 star Chipotle) as this one is a dud.

I get that food service is a tough job. I have respect for the workers. Even more so in the past few years. I try to be the easy customer – speaking clearly, please and thank you’s and being prompt at checkout.

I just can’t go back… look at the pictures other reviewers have posted.. the make line is disgusting most of the time.

They are out of ingredients more often than not.

I tried to give this place many many attempts. I’ve never really been motivated to give a negative review on Google until today. The manager there is just smug and the antithesis of customer service.

I have had many poor experiences with the Fairmont location… I’d love to share more with a regional manager (please reach out!) but for today I’ll share this as I’m limited on characters:

When making my bowl today, it was scarcely portioned, employee only put about 1.5 ounces of chicken on the two bowls I was ordering. I asked to get the normal portion of about 4 oz of chicken please. They added a little more and I was satisfied. That should have been the end of it.

At checkout they charged me double. I disputed it – general manager tells me they are very precise on their portions and his employee gave the right amount. Scolded me I was wrong and that next time I would be charged double. Makes me feel like I’m trying to steal.

I wanted to have him weigh the portion right then and there, I knew he was wrong. He told me that his store over-portions. He doesn’t have time.

Went home bothered by the managers tone and attitude, weighed the chicken, both bowls we under 3.5 oz of chicken protein. This is far from 8oz of protein he claimed i should be charged for – really not even at the 4oz I paid for.

I actually drove all way back to the store with pictures to talk to the manager, was given some pushback about how busy he was. Asked him to please sit down at a table with me to talk and he did. I told him he owed me an apology for giving me a hard time and acting like I was a chicken thief. He was still stand-offish, threw a sorry in and listened for a minute before scolding my volume (I was not yelling) and he just wanted me to leave and I did too.

General manager just didn’t care.

TERRIBLE! Will not go back until there is a new manager if ever.

EDIT: Read the other reviews of this Chipotle location, it’s not a coincidence or one-off experience.

The staff did an amazing job with what they had. They were understaffed and still rolling the orders out efficiently. I had to take a star off because Coming from California, the portions they give you here is alot better than any other location I have ever been to that have started skimping on the protein. Ill come back here again on my next visit.

My girlfriend went to this Chipotle to order for my brother and I. Now the service she received was awful. When she told the worker she had two burritos and a bowl the worker got visibly upset. She rolled her eyes and proceeded to get upset that she had to do her job. I work in food, I get it sometimes you have a bad day, but oh my god. When the woman forgot to put beans on a burrito and my girlfriend began to speak out she let out such an audible sigh that My girlfriend got to afraid to speak up about anything else. When i got home to greet her she was very sad that her food was messed up and was almost in tears talking about it. This is absolutely unacceptable. I would never treat a customer like this. Sometimes you make a mistake, so own it and just start over. At the end of the day it’s a stupid burrito so don’t treat you fellow people so degenerately for being hungry.

The best restaurant in Whitehall. Even if they don’t have food (which is normally after a lot of customers) they’re always quick to make more. Very nice people and the managers are the sweetest. Always have everything I want and the place is so clean! Will definitely eat here again!

Hey I’m sorry it took bit of time to type this out after i got home. I had a very amazing meal that absolutley improved my shitty night all thanks to the sweetheart named Taylor. Everyone has bad times once in a while, and she was kind enough to listen to me vent about what ruined my night while making my order. I wish I wasn’t so burned out from tonight, otherwise I’d be able to put into words how much she boosted my morale. Even left me a smiley face on my order so i know which bowl was mine from the others. All I can say is the small things do matter, and Taylor deserves more than just the small things in life. I hope she does well and thanks again for helping me out tonight as well as hopefully next time I’m starving! Take care and best wishes.

Walked in and immediately walked out. I have pretty low standards for the front of the house in a busy place, but there wasn’t a single customer in there and this place looked absolutely disgusting. The glass was gross, the bins had scraps of dried up food in them. Worst I’ve ever seen.
