This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at chipotle let alone any fast food restaurant. I ordered on the app and arrived a few minutes before the designated pick up time. when the time came noticed people that came before me were still waiting and in that same time the regular line filled up twice and cleared out. out of curiosity I asked the to go person making orders how many people were ahead of me, he said they were working on my order but I saw the screen and there were 4 people ahead of me. I looked around and saw 3 people just hanging out waiting for people to come in and take orders. I’m very understanding of the food service industry but when I bring a concern to an employee about the wait time and I’m met with attitude, all sympathy goes out the window. the cashier told me “well we’re busy, I don’t know what you want me to do”. I don’t know if the person that came up was a manager or supervisor but she told me “we’re working as fast as we can”. Evidently not if there are people standing around twiddling their thumbs. Then the to go person chimes in and says “I’m only one person”. When I finally got my order I checked before I left and found I was missing part of my order, go figure. After sitting down to eat, I was missing a whole taco and it looked like everything was thrown in the bowl. Extremely unacceptable customer service from everyone involved.

I have low to minimal expectations for fast food, but the Chipotle near Lynnhaven Mall put any expectations on ice colder than the carnitas in my burrito. I placed a mobile order and the staff at the location was nice, but the issues started when I got home. The burrito was ice cold in parts and the cheese inside the burrito didn’t even warm up enough to melt, I live only 5 minutes from this location so that wasn’t the issue. There was an overpowering stench coming from the burrito that vacillated between sour milk and rotten tuna. I immediately spit up the first bite because it tasted sour and off.

I tried to call the location, while the location was still open, and was routed to an AI prompted call center. The call center employee seemed completely unprepared for a call involving a report of bad food or a health/safety issue. The call center employee was very focused on what kind of reimbursement would be sufficient to satisfy me and offered me a coupon for a free entree. While I appreciate the acknowledgement of a bad experience, what I really wanted was to talk to a manager at the location where I got the burrito to make sure the carnitas at the side station where they were preparing mobile orders was at the right temperature. I hope they aren’t serving bad food and getting people sick, but hey I got to talk to a nice young man at a call center who was fully prepared to talk about coupons, but not equipped to handle a food concern.

Seriously, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with fast food. From the food tasting rotten to the complete idiocy of dealing with “customer service” it’s obvious that Chipotle has fallen off. You should not be routed to a call center to report bad food, that’s a safety and health issue. Chipotle is a Fortune 500 company, they are not short on resources and can afford phone lines in their stores. The fact that you would even get sent to a call center to report bad food is asinine and is indicative of a corporate philosophy this is detached from the bare minimum health and safety expectations for an establishment serving food.

I would not eat at this location again, and candidly I won’t eat at Chipotle again. I’ve felt safer eating burritos from trucks near the piers at the Navy base than this brick and mortar Chipotle location.

5 stars before and after but, Edit: I saw a review commending a young man for his customer service and I would like to double down and say he is who earned this review for this location, as I know he also cooked the food bc of how often I go and it was very fresh bc HE seemed to be at least temporarily running the ship. Most of my recent previous visits echoed the other lower starred reviews, asking for fresh food and getting a funny look when the beans are clearly hours past needing to be removed from the line. Which now I know is even more ridiculous because he’s often (not always) the cook and I can tell he would not mind making them fresh beans if they just asked him. If you haven’t already, consider the taller young white man with the beard in the mustache who speaks a little bit of Spanish for management position at this location it will be the only thing that saves the last good chipotle Virginia beach has

Ordered food and got it delivered thru the app. I ordered 2 sides of guac and guac in one of the bowls. When we got the food the guacamole I’m not edible. It looks rotten and the color is very dark. It didn’t smell right. I can’t believe the workers would serve poor quality food to their customers it’s like they don’t care.

I went in to your restaurant at 2701 n mall drive, va beach va and tried to order 2 kids meals with guacamole. They told me they had no guacamole. I said ok and just got one meal. I got to the check out and can see guacamole on the to go side. I asked the cashier if I can get that guacamole and he said no that’s only for mobile orders. I said so if I put a mobile order and sat here for it to be up, I can get guacamole? He said yeah- it’s easier for us to tell a person in store no than have someone order online and then have to tell them we dont have it. I laughed and said that’s messed up and left with my daughter. I’ve worked retail and food service so I thought maybe I was the jerk and they were closing soon or something- look it up and they’re open til 11. You’re telling me in the next 4 hours, you’re just going to tell people you dont have guacamole so you dont have to make it? We’re vegan and came here specifically for the vegan options- a big one being the guacamole. This is seriously the laziest, worst customer service I’ve ever gotten.

I got a bowl and a burrito and the bowl was fine, but the burrito had little to no meat. they put scrapings of steak in my burrito (less than half of a spoonful) ive eaten over 2/3 of this burrito and i haven’t touched a SINGLE piece of steak i swear. the young lady was also kind of rude and dismissive but the guy that helped me was very nice and did his job well. all around, not a great experience id like the steak i asked for next time, thanks..

Just ordered on postmates a bowl with chicken and paid for the extra portion food shows up directly from the store to my home it’s cold and worse yet the chicken amount is barely half a spoon. Had no issue charging me that extra portion though.

I dug around to see if it was maybe layered but no. Not even a single portion worth of chicken. Looks like bottom of the container scraps before filling it up.

Bad communication by staff. Had mobile pickup for someone else, but items had my name on it (photos), so I go over to the mobile pickup section, gave them my name, and the employee is saying something about door dash? Gets condescending towards me, when I pull up the confirmation email and says you don’t have a door dash order and walks away, even though I’m waiting in the mobile pickup section.

Same employee approaches me later, and tries to help me with mobile order. Gets it figured out and proceeds to say something under his breath. I then check my order and everything is incorrect. Clearly the label says “burrito” which is what was ordered, and they made it into a bowl with some unknown ingredient. Minimum wage at its finest

When we went to this particular Chipotle, they did not have the Mexican Coke that we ordered, and would not give us an in store refund for it. I was told that I had to contact their store online to see about receiving a refund for a $4.00 coke that they didn’t have. They then tried to charge a $1.60 for each individual cup of extra cheese when every other Chipotle I have been to has given out those cups for free. The staff was relatively unfriendly and not helpful in resolving the issue of the refund. I also wasn’tn offered any points or compensation for essentially having to pay for extra dollars for a regular coke that would be significantly less than the Mexican one, and not what I ordered.
Would not go to this particular location again.
