I stopped by Chipotle Mexican Grill in Richmond for a quick meal, and it’s always a reliable spot when you want something fast but still fresh. The best part is that everything is made right in front of you, so you can customize your burrito, bowl, or tacos exactly how you like it.
I went with a burrito bowl with chicken, rice, black beans, fajita veggies, and a few different salsas. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. It’s simple food, but the flavors come together really well.
The atmosphere is casual and quick, making it a great option for lunch or a fast dinner. Overall, Chipotle is a solid choice when you want customizable Mexican-style food that’s filling and reasonably priced.

This place as of late NEVER has water cups. Why? The only way to get a cup for water is to pay for a drink. Ridculous! Portions are definitely smaller than normal, if you actually want 1 portion size, prepare to order double.

Mobile pickup is a joke. My bowl was super light the second I pulled it out of the bag, and when I opened it, it was clear it wasn’t made right. If I had ordered in person, this wouldn’t have happened. Honestly, there’s no point in offering a pickup option if the quality is going to be this bad

The staff here are unbelievable. They literally play in your face with their skimpy portions and terrible attitude. They also charge you extra for stuff you didn’t even order, and when addressed, they just shrug their shoulders. They take advantage of college students.
And don’t even bother writing up a complaint to Chipotle’s customer service, they will defend this location and ghost you. Never coming back again. This is why Chipotle is losing money.

Haven’t been to this chipotle in a few months and thought to give it a try again after my bad experience last time. Today, I got a veggie bowl with no protein and received one scoop of rice even though I asked for extra. When I asked for extra again, the lady skimped on the scoop and gave me half a scoop. My bowl looks and tastes saucy. I also asked for a side of vinaigrette and it it is not blended well and also is a very small proportion. I took 3 bites and had to throw it away. Never coming to this chipotle again, very disappointed !

This chipotle skimps you terribly on every single ingredient, but especially the main ones. The standard portion of meat chicken or beef is supposed to be one HEAPING scoop aka 4 ounces. I’d be surprised if these bowls had 2 ounces. They also are always light on the rice and the beans, but not by as much.
It’s worth mentioning this isn’t a one time thing, and it is a constant occurrence. It doesn’t help that the staff on the line is unfriendly.

I want to continue going to this chipotle cause it is the only one directly on my way to work. I plan to address the portion size inadequacy to them and if they do the right thing I’ll change my review.

Best thing I can say is that it wasn’t crowded, especially for Sunday afternoon, but the reason behind that quickly became clear.
My company-wide gripe (and I know this might sound paranoid) is that they made the chips thinner. To be fair, I’ve been seeing this trend with a lot of big companies such as pepper’s farm shrinking their bigger goldfish carton by a few ounces and hoping no one would notice. I’m not giving Chipotle a pass though. Call me crazy but I don’t think it’s right when a restaurant that charges $2 for a condiment cup starts selling chips so flimsy they can’t stand up to that $3 guacamole. I’m also going to assume they are putting fewer chips in the bags themselves, especially after reading the review I attached.
My location specific grape is that you can’t block a point of egress. It’s not taped off because it’s broken, I checked. They just blocked it. That’s a fire safety violation, whether it is inside at or out. It’s also ADA non compliant, and they could use all the customers they can get. They definitely shouldn’t be excluding disabled richmonders. It’s bad enough you need a code to enter the bathroom and the knob barely functions.
I’d say get it together, but I don’t think they will. I’m curious what’s gonna pop-up in this location when they close down.

The establishment isn’t too clean but fast service. The chips I received were stale and guacamole not seasoned. Each visit is a hit or miss. The staff is great, the food, not so much.

They run out of water cups by 1 pm here. Your manager needs to do proper inventory and determine how much stuff is used on a daily basis. Because if they run out of water cups you have to pay for a regular drink. Then the soda machine doesn’t have any working flavors once you pay so u payed soda price for a water. Portion sizes are weak too
