We have had success in getting our desired food on 3/4 visits to this new restaurant in Cumberland. The wait for food was long… at least 20 minutes before I became the front of the line and place my order. On the one unsuccessful visit, we had waited 20 minutes and had moved only a few feet ahead. We gave up as there were still 15 people ahead of us. On this occasion, the garbage can in the dining area was overflowing, with garbage piling up on one of the high chairs. There was food bits on the floor, tables in the dining areas, as well as the food prep area. I took photos, but didn’t want to post to FB as this wasn’t the case every time.
The food was always perfectly prepared to our specifications and tasty. The staff has always been very polite and professional but seemed to be overwhelmed. There didn’t seem to be enough staff to serve customers in a timely manner.

This by far is the worse Chipotle that I’ve ever been to. They have been open for a few months and I keep going back hoping the service gets better. I’ve been at least 8 times and tonight was the worse. I stayed in line for over 30 minutes only for most of the food to be out at 7:00 pm. No where near closing time. No white rice, no steak, and not much of anything else. The whole time I was there the only thing that was refilled was the fajita onions and peppers and chicken was put on the grill. They had one young lady working the front counter fixing the food and running the register. She was trying her hardest but clearly frustrated, but management should be ashamed and of themselves. The service is only good if you go early before 2:00 pm. There was a long line of people in line to place orders and to pick up online orders. One man asked how much longer it would be because he had been there for 45 minutes. The young lady was beyond rude and disrespectful to him. They did not bother to announce that they were out of most foods. At a minimum they could have put a sign on the door instead of letting people wait in line for scraps.

Don’t waste your time…. The store is short staffed so they are only accepting mobile orders. Order was placed at 11:16 was given an estimated time of 12:00. Order was not ready until 1:45. After receiving order, there were barely any ingredients, there is maybe a half a serving of rice. Food was also cold. I know it is a new establishment, but that is unacceptable. Don’t open if you are not prepared. We could have driven to the Somerset, PA or Morgantown, WV stores and back faster than it took this restaurant to prepare our order. We will not be back to this location. Waste of time and money!

With six people in front of me, it took almost 23 minutes to get to the register. With two people in front of me, they decided to shut down the line for over 5 minutes because they were out of chicken. No attempt to serve anyone wanting anything other than chicken. Just no service.

At checkout I ordered chips. They had no chips, but didn’t know that and rang me up. The cashier had no idea how to refund the chips. He asked the manager, who essentially just shrugged. So he spent the next 5 minutes struggling how to figure out how to do a refund.

Food’s good, but it’s no worth this hassle. Unless the place is absolutely empty, I probably won’t go back.

I love Chipotle, but the Cumberland location has been very disappointing since it opened. I’ve given it multiple chances, both ordering in-store and doing pickup, and the experience is consistently the same.

The bowls are barely filled and the portions feel very skimpy compared to other Chipotle locations, even though you’re still paying full price. It’s frustrating to pay for a bowl and receive something that looks half full.

I really hope this location improves because I genuinely enjoy Chipotle, but right now the portion sizes and long wait times make it hard to justify coming back.

REMINDER: there is NO drive thru, only a CHIPOTLANE to pickup your MOBILE order.

Please do your research people, part of the reason that line was so long was cause some of y’all assumed there is a drive thru even tho there is no ordering screen / outdoor menu. I highly suggest giving it a week or two for things to settle down a bit before trying this location out if you want to avoid these long wait times.

On Sunday (11/30) we ordered our food for pickup at 12:50 and ended up waiting 2.5 hours in the chipotlane for our food even though we came 15 minutes before pickup time. I was super worried they would be out of stuff or my food would be cold BUT the employees made my food fresh when I got to the pickup window. My bowl was full and delicious, thank you for not skimping out on the toppings I requested extra of on the app! I haven’t had Chipotle in over a year since I moved out here and Im very happy this location is open.

Shoutout to these employees for doing their best! They had an employee out in the rain trying to help manage the chipotlane & the employee at the window was losing their voice but both were kind & helpful.

Dear managers, it’s okay to turn off mobile order pickup for the day or parts of the day when yall are dealing with a high volume of orders/customers especially if its impacting pick up times in the Chipotlane.

Good luck! Will definitely be coming by again once things are less crazy.

I’ve tried to give this location multiple chances over the past few months, but the issues seem to be ongoing and rooted in management.

From the very beginning, this store has struggled with organization and leadership. The line is routinely understaffed, with one employee expected to prepare the entire food line while other staff stand at the register talking. This creates long wait times and unnecessary frustration. Chipotle’s service model is designed to function with multiple team members working the line together, and that structure is consistently lacking here.

Customer service is also a concern. Staff often appear disengaged, and the overall atmosphere feels unprofessional. On several visits, key ingredients have been unavailable, and when items are in stock, they are frequently dried out or not fresh.

On a recent visit, what appeared to be a manager was standing on a ladder changing overhead signage while the floor was visibly disorganized and the line was not being properly staffed. That moment unfortunately reflected the broader issue: leadership does not seem focused on supporting the team or improving the customer experience.

Given the volume of similar feedback already posted, it’s disappointing that meaningful changes have not been made. This location has potential, but without stronger leadership and accountability, the experience is unlikely to improve.

This is by far the best chipotle I’ve been to. The food is fresh, the meat is always fresh& not dry. The workers are helpful. It’s very nice and clean. The lemonades are mixed perfect, not watered down. SO GOOD. also watched the general manager help a customer with an issue, very thoughtful & stayed professional. I was impressed with this location.

If it would let me give zero stars I would… This is the worst Chipotle I have ever been too and I have been to many other locations over the years. Even more disappointing due to it being a new business in the area. First time I went I waited 45 minutes in line due to them not having anything ready, literally nothing prepared. Never been to a chipotle that didn’t have food ready when you walk through the door but apparently it is not a practice here, they don’t start cooking until you walk through the door. The second and last time I am going, they had no chicken, steak, or sour cream. When asked why, they said they did not have a cook for the grill…… There was 6 people standing around in the kitchen but none had the ability to cook on the grill??? What kind of business only has one person qualified to cook on a grill? Then they have the lady who is preparing your food is the same person that is checking you out, while other people just stand around, making the whole process slower and more painful. I wanted to give it a chance but I will take my business to any other local Mexican restaurant before I ever go back here. Oh and I didn’t get any food, I walked in and right back out after being told they didn’t have any of the above stated items. This place needs serious help or there is no way it will last.

Omg! Who is in charge of this store? They move at an insanely slow speed. I timed how long it took people to get their order at the counter and it was between 11 and 13 minutes. The biracial guy with the head wrap working the line was not friendly or helpful what so ever. He had no hustle or urgency about him. It was literally like watching a sloth. The employees were too busy talking to each other to actually accomplish anything. The chips were soggy with enough salt to give anyone hypertension. They were out of various items. And gave such small portions. My food was cold, and I started eating in the car after waiting one hour and 13 minutes in line. Drink case was empty. Fountain drinks were empty. Silverware, empty. And all they had was carne asada for the meat. But they did have napkins, so I guess there’s that. It was noisy, music loud, and everyone was talking or on the phone, since we were basically at a stand still. I’ll be taking my food back today to get a refund because it was awful. I know it’s new, but this experience was unacceptable. And I won’t even talk about how the employees were touching themselves, the trash, scratching their hair out fixing their glasses and then handling the food without changing gloves. I made a 17 minute video in real time of them only ringing out 1 customer, which I’m currently uploading so I have documented proof of how bad it is. Save your money, save your time. It’s not worth it.
