Food was delicious
Service was great and even the guests in line were friendly as there was a wait in one of the protein so was asked to move next in line.
Used our loyalty points and saved even more.
Look forward to next week
This is coming from someone who owns multiple businesses – you don’t come across people like him often so you need to make sure you keep him here as long as you can! Thanks Dewey
My burrito got thrown in a bag and literally hit across the counter to me with an attitude for simply ordering it. I always come hoping it will be a better experience than the last time, and it’s not. The store is always a mess and the staff is constantly unfriendly. I will not be returning to this location.
I was so excited when I found out a location was opening up in Fairport. But since the beginning, this location has been unimpressive on a good day. At first, I figured they were new and just getting the lay of the land and training new people… but now it’s been years. And thing have only gotten worse instead of better. Sorry in advance, I’m about to write an essay, scroll down to the bottom for the fun stuff.
I am originally from Fairport, but moved to Colorado in 2006. I have been going to Chipotle since 2007 (Colorado Springs then Fort Collins then various locations in Denver.) Every once in awhile the burrito was not wrapped super well or the chicken did not have the same level of spice as usual, but that was always the worst of it. How can somewhere be that consistently efficient, have tasty food, and fast moving professional staff across multiple locations? I don’t know – I am not a restaurant owner or food preparer.. I don’t have those skills. But you know who does?? Chipotle!
I have traveled all over the US and Chipotle is always a bastion of quality food and consistent and professional service, even in the Rochester, NY area. When I moved back here from CO, I was worried since Chipotle was relatively new in the region. I chose to go to the Victor location – guess what! Consistently efficient and kind staff, great tasting Chipotle quality food. Then a location was opened in Fairport – since it was 4 minutes from my house, that became my new location.
The only Chipotle-like aspect of this location is consistency. Consistently:
– rude staff that are very annoyed to have to simply take your order and cash you out
– running out of food all the time and lying by saying all locations are out of a given food (I have tested this by going to Victor and/or Pittsford immediately after being told they’re out of chicken and guac).
– food that tastes and feels like it was cooked the night before and has just been sitting there since.
I have watched staff members talk to each other, literally point and laugh at customers, and throw bowls/food/etc. (not crazy throwing but tossing) around – all while I or others stand there waiting for our order to be taken. No they were not working on something else. No this was not just one time.
Once an employee who was handling cash with her gloves on, walked down to take my order (with the typical scowl associated with this location) and started making my food with the same gloves she was just touching money with. I asked her to change her gloves, she rolled her eyes, threw her gloves on the floor and put new ones on. No I am not a mean obnoxious customer. No I don’t have super complicated specific orders. But believe what you want lol
Today, I go in. No one is there except an employee who was cashing out with some other employee. I stood there quietly for 5 minutes before he ambles down to me and says “what do you need?” I ordered and he slides it down to the cashier and says “you get all that?” Then walks away. Of course the food was cold and old as usual for this location. This time though I was sick of it and am therefore writing this post.
This location needs to close or fire everyone and start over.
