Checkout wasn’t any better. The cashier had a serious attitude while I was trying to pay, like I was bothering her by ordering food.
And to make it worse, I found a piece of plastic in my food. That’s not just gross, it’s a safety issue. Between the rude service and the plastic in my meal, this was easily one of the worst Chipotle visits I’ve had.
I won’t be coming back to this location, and I’d strongly suggest management takes a hard look at both food handling and customer service.
Update: Followed up with Chipotle as instructed in their reply. Received the generic response that the feedback would be shared with manager. Honestly do not believe they care and if I ever do go to a Chipotle in the future, just going to walk out if the burrito looks that dinky again.
Food allergies are not a joke — my son goes into anaphylactic shock if exposed. The careless attitude and lack of training could have had life-threatening consequences. Chipotle must train their employees to handle allergies with seriousness and respect.
When I brought up the issue, the cashier told me to tap my card again to generate a refund of $8. It’s been days, and I still haven’t received that refund. To make matters worse, the system wasn’t working properly, and I never received a receipt—so I have no proof of what I was actually charged for, but I do have a history of payment in my Apple Pay.
The staff couldn’t be bothered. Their attitude was as if they were forced to work unpaid, and to make things worse, they barely spoke or understood English. Communication was a nightmare.
As if that wasn’t enough, there was no working AC and zero ventilation inside. It was hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable—definitely not a place you’d want to eat in.
Avoid this location at all costs. And to whoever manages or owns this franchise: please consider hiring staff who are properly trained, can communicate clearly with customers, and actually care about basic customer service. Not everyone in the U.S. speaks Spanish. Also, fix the air conditioning and teach your employees how to treat paying customers with a minimum level of respect.
