I ordered a bowl and asked for extra corn (I even said I’d pay extra). He claimed he already added extra when he absolutely did not he tossed in a regular amount. When I repeated myself, he barely scooped any corn and literally threw it into my bowl.
Then I asked for red sauce and he took an ENTIRE spoonful and SPLATTERED it all over my food. Now the bowl is unbearably spicy and completely inedible. I would’ve walked out, but I had class and needed food.
On top of that, he was openly rude to his employees one Black woman and one White woman and his behavior came off racist and sexist. I’m a Brown woman myself, and the way he treated everyone was disgusting. He also rushed my entire order even though there were only TWO people behind me.
I paid $15.75 for food that went straight in the trash.
Absolutely unacceptable. Horrible customer service, horrible attitude, and zero professionalism. This man should NOT be managing anyone.
Personally, I like Chipotle when I’m craving something quick, filling, and healthier than typical fast food — the flavors are usually solid and the portions generous. Just be aware that quality and service can vary by location (some spots are cleaner and faster than others), and busy lunch hours mean lines can get long.
It’s not fancy dining, but for a casual, customizable, fast meal with big portions and bold flavors, it’s hard to beat — just order smart (extra toppings!) and go when it’s not crowded.
All customers deserve to be treated with respect regardless of their appearance or profession. This experience was disappointing, and I hope management takes this seriously and ensures better customer service training.

Stopped by this Chipotle on Greenwich Street and had an awesome experience. The bowl was fresh, flavorful, and packed generously — you could tell everything was made with care. The toppings were well-balanced, and the lettuce stayed crisp even with the warm ingredients underneath. Plus, the corn and pico really popped with flavor.
Service was fast and friendly, and the staff kept everything clean and organized even during the lunch rush. I didn’t have to wait long at all, which made this a smooth stop during a busy day.
On top of that, the portion sizes were shockingly small. I ordered barbacoa beef, which is more expensive than the other proteins, yet I received a ridiculously tiny portion. To make matters worse, the food was cold—rice, beans, and steak weren’t even warm. I barely got halfway through the bowl before I realized the steak was already gone. For the price I paid, this was just unacceptable.
The quality and portions at Chipotle have really gone downhill, and it’s extremely disappointing. I don’t know what I’m paying for anymore, but it certainly isn’t worth it. Will be rethinking coming back.
Very good assistance from the staff.
This is perhaps the smallest Chipotle in New York City. It literally seats about 10 people at short counters.
