This is a decent location. I’ve had good experiences for the most part. It really depends on who’s there making your meal. Today’s experience was a good one. Dude showed mad love and most importantly followed directions to a T when making my salad and burrito. As well as the kids meal and my order of tacos. As per usual the ingredients were fresh like on the commercials. So I’ll def be returning and hopefully I’ll get another good crew like I had today.

I mean, it’s Chipotle—expectations aren’t exactly high. Still, you’d have to try to make the experience this bad.
I went in around 1:00 on a weekday and the place was packed. Not sure if the local kids were out for lunch or had an early dismissal, but the line moved quickly. When I ordered, the server put three pieces of chicken in my bowl. I questioned it, and he told me they were “big chunks,” so that was a normal portion. The next employee in line clearly disagreed, added more chicken, and even acknowledged it wasn’t a full serving.
That’s when the first guy said, “That’s a double now—charge him double.” I literally stood there watching two employees argue over how a half portion suddenly became a double. Completely ridiculous.
If you want to talk about a truly poor customer experience, this is it. I will never return to this location. Not that it probably matters—the school crowd clearly keeps the place busy anyway.

The portion of the food is extremely small, the customer service lady was managingh the portion as if it’s coming out of her paycheck. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been coming to this Chipotle location regularly for the past 8 months and have always had a good experience. However, my recent visit was very disappointing. The staff member who served me was extremely rude, impatient, and unprofessional. She seemed irritated throughout the interaction and was mean in her tone and behavior, which made the experience uncomfortable. I’ve never experienced this kind of behavior here before. I hope management addresses this because customer service should be respectful and welcoming

I placed my order online said it would be ready by 11am and wanted me to leave a tip for them putting my order together. I got the new honey chicken burrito it was good cold but good. I had to wait another 10 mins after my pick up time. A walk in customer received her food before me. While getting g my soda one of the employees came over and started wiping down the counter just about pushing me the customer out-of-the-way so he can finish wiping down the counter. Listen folks long story short first time and last time I will visit the Metuchen New Jersey chipotle oh one last thing I got a large bag of chips and the white cheese dipping sauce, and a dipping sauce was placed in the bag upside down as you could tell by the pictures, the burrito I ordered should’ve just been put into a bowl instead of trying to wrap it very novice people working at the store in my eyes will never return.

We waited for over 30 mins and had only 3 people ahead of us. There was only 1 person at the counter and his pace was amazingly slow. Not a great experience.

I’ve eaten Chipotle from the South to the North of the U.S., but this one takes the crown for being the worst. The black beans were salty enough to pickle fish, the sides were so stingy they looked like samples, and the staff acted like I owed them money!

I actually like the location. Very close to whole foods and a lot of other restaurants in metuchen. The indoor and outdoor seating is also good . Service was ok. We got chips and they were asking extra money for salsa . I thought salsa comes with it . We paid extra and got it . The veg bowl was good . Billing was quick but we went on a non peak hours . Overall an average experience ..

My partner came here to get Chipotle, and the next day he was in the bathroom repeatedly. His condition worsened to the point that we had to rush him to urgent care, where we were told he had a gastrointestinal infection caused by food mishandling. This is a serious health concern. I would strongly advise others not to take the risk of eating here.
