Food Quality Issue: My Chicken Bowl was disappointing; the quality was not up to standard.
Service Issue: The primary problem was the service. At approximately 9:30 PM, while I was only halfway through my meal, a staff member came to my table and abruptly informed me that the lobby was closed. They provided a lid and told me I needed to leave. Being rushed out 30 minutes before the store’s closing time while dining in is unacceptable and ruined my meal experience.
I would appreciate it if management could address the inconsistent closing policy and the manner in which dining customers are treated.”
“From an employee perspective, I can appreciate that serving customers who arrive shortly before closing can be challenging. I understand the desire to clean up and prepare for the end of the shift.
However, despite these understandable internal pressures, the store’s operating hours are clearly posted as ending at 10:00 PM.
When I visited around 9:15 PM and was simply eating a meal I had already purchased—not placing a new order—I expect to be treated with a minimum standard of courtesy and professionalism. Being abruptly told the lobby was closed and rushed out at 9:30 PM, 30 minutes prior to closing time, is unacceptable and reflects poorly on customer service standards.
Staff should maintain basic polite behavior and respect the customer’s right to dine until the official closing time.”
The food was disgusting, sloppy, and not even close to edible. Service was terrible from start to finish. Staff didn’t know how to wrap a burrito properly, looked like they had never been trained. It sounded like employees are yelled at instead of coached, and management clearly has no clue how to run a kitchen or treat staff with basic respect. You could hear orders being barked at workers like they were children, and the overall vibe was toxic and unprofessional. This is exactly the kind of place where people complain about bad service and poor food handling. Some locals online even joke that this location is one of the worst Chipotle’s in NJ and that management is chaotic.
My son has many food allergies, egg, peanut, sesame, tree nuts and Chipotle is free from these food items which make the entire menu open for him to enjoy.
Disclaimer: always present what food allergies need to be considered by your food preparer to cover the bases.
For us, Chipotle is an easy go to when traveling or want to order fod without having to go down the list if allergies with the associate taking our order.
Plus, Chipotle has been very consistent with their food quality which is a plus.
The staff was very friendly and courteous, and they gave decent proportion sizes, and this would be a location that I would return to in the future
