Charming small restaurant serving up
Authentic Thai food with a twist.

Our waitress was super sweet, oddly there was only one other table in there so she was very attentive.

We shared the Crab Curry Binge, Supreme Pad Thai and Rainbow Roll. The food was delicious. The deconstructed pad Thai was a nice presentation.

Definitely try some of their fancy mock/cocktails.

I had such a great experience at Chinta Thai on Greenpoint Ave. The vibe of the restaurant is super cozy, and the staff welcomed me with warm smiles from the moment I walked in. Even the menu is special. it’s presented as a handcrafted booklet, which makes the whole dining experience feel thoughtful and unique.

For appetizers, I tried the Crispy Pork with spicy peanut drippings, and honestly, this is the most authentic Thai crispy pork I’ve had in NYC. The texture is exactly like the ones in Thailand perfectly crispy, flavorful, and very hard to find done this well in the city.

My main dish was the Aromatic Short Ribs, and they were incredibly soft and tender. A really satisfying main course that pairs well with the rest of the menu. I finished my meal with the Thai Tea Cheesecake, which was the perfect sweet ending creamy, fragrant, and full of Thai tea flavor.

I also ordered one of their Thai craft-style cocktails, and I definitely recommend trying them. They match the whole creative and authentic theme of the restaurant.

The place is often busy, but if you come a little early after their break (around 5–7 PM), you can get a great table for dine-in.

I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back soon.

Very loud, could barely hear anything, very small but packed, and it was stressful. The food was pretty good, but annoying to eat. The tea was bad. The cocktail was good.

Excellent fish. I thought the rainbow roll was just okay, but the fish made up for it. I would come back to try other dishes. Great service, always checking on us, super nice.

Love the ambiance in here, nice candlelit vibe with chill music playing and comfy booths. We were seated quickly and everyone was so nice.

Ma Muang Mao cocktail was a dessert on its own. So fruity and delicious with a nice foam on top. They were so attentive with the water refills and checking in on us.

The menus were so thoughtful and cute – books filled with Polaroids of the dishes and clean writing. Very well done. The lighting fixtures are great in here too.

Calamari was great!

Khao Soi Gai chicken was so tender and juicy. This dish was a textural jamboree (direct quote from those eating it.) Loved these flavors and I even took some leftover sauce to dump onto my Crab Fried rice. All the portions were pretty big and it was so filling.

Highly recommend this place!

It’s good, just not exciting. Ordered wings for appetizers, and the shared mains were pot of gold (prawns + rice with sausage) and basil rice with chicken.

The black rice in the pot of gold was good, though the prawns didn’t have any flavor at all. Everything else was average.

I’ll give it another go sometime, and order the half duck and definitively see if the places captures me or not after that.

Artistic menu. Disappointed with the papaya salad as I don’t think it was pounded and was just shredded and also did not have enough peanuts. Thai basil chicken was superb. The sauce of the garlic shrimp was wonderful. The staff attentive and friendly. Not too busy during late lunch. A cute neat place. Would certainly go back and try the other dishes. Do not ask them to tone down the chilli. It just does not taste good. I would recommend the place to my friends.

While indulging in a particularly spicy dish (the Spaghetti Sai-Oua), the bartender noticed my reddening face and served me at delightful Thai tea on the house. I found it especially considerate and a little amusing.

We ordered the Tom Kha soup, Angry Duck with pineapple and lychee, rainbow rolls, and the soft-shell crab with mango cashew salad — and every single dish was delicious.

The Tom Kha soup was rich, flavorful, and large enough to share — still generous even when split between two people. The Angry Duck was perfectly balanced: spicy, sweet, and full of flavor. The duck itself was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and came with a good portion of rice.

The rainbow rolls were next-level — super fresh and satisfying, and the chickpea beet sauce they came with was honestly the best thing I’ve ever had with spring rolls. The soft-shell crab was bright, refreshing, and full of texture thanks to the mango and cashew combo(MUST TRY)

Huge portions all around — we shared everything and still felt full. Around $40 per person before tip, which felt like a great value for the quality and quantity.

Also, the staff were all smiles and so kind — our server was wonderful and made the experience even better.

Definitely coming back — one of the best Thai spots around!
