This lagman was absolutely incredible rich, comforting, and bursting with flavor. The broth was deep and savory, perfectly spiced without overpowering the natural taste of the tender beef. Every bite had something exciting: soft noodles soaking up that flavorful sauce, sweet carrots, crisp green beans, peppers, and cabbage all cooked just right. And that fresh handful of herbs on top? It brought everything together with the perfect bright finish.
It wasn’t just a meal it was the kind of dish that makes you slow down and enjoy every spoonful.
The place itself was warm and welcoming, and the people were so kind and attentive. You could really feel the hospitality, especially since we came here for Iftar. After a long fast, this was exactly what we needed, hearty, satisfying, and made with care.
We will definitely be coming back. Some places you try once. This one? It’s a new favorite.

This place is what you hope for from your standard Mom & Pop shop. Dennis, our server, was passionate to share his cuisine with wifey and me. We ordered all of his recommendations and it did not disappoint! The pilav and Manti were my favorites. Wifey preferred the beef kebab. The apricot compote had the right balance of sweetness and earthiness that rivaled some of the best fruit teas I’ve had. I recommend you come check this place out!

We hosted an event here for a group of 15 people, and it was an incredible experience! The restaurant provided us with a private space, sectioned off with screens, allowing us to enjoy our time together in a cozy and intimate setting. Despite the variety of orders, everything was served quickly and beautifully presented. The food was absolutely delicious, halal, with a great selection to satisfy everyone’s taste. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a wonderful evening, and we truly appreciate the excellent service. Highly recommend this place from the bottom of our hearts!

Especially recommended: Be sure to try the Tashkent tea – an unforgettable blend of herbal ingredients like mint, honey, orange, lemon, and a unique mix of green and loose- leaf black tea with ginger. The taste is simply amazing!

This wasn’t our first visit to Chinor, and once again everything was absolutely top notch. The food was smacking delicious — especially the lula kebab, koza shorva, and somsa — each dish tasted authentic, fresh, and made with real care.

Our server Hassan was the best: attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. The whole experience honestly felt like we flew back to Uzbekistan for a meal and then returned to Chicago with full, happy stomachs .

We highly recommend Chinor to everyone who wants to enjoy real, flavorful Uzbek cuisine and warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back again and again!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chinor, and it was an incredible experience! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of traditional Uzbek decor that truly transports you to another world. The menu is a delightful mix of authentic Uzbek dishes, and every bite was bursting with flavor.

I highly recommend starting with the plov, a rich, aromatic rice dish with tender lamb, carrots, and spices. It’s a true comfort food, full of depth and satisfying in every way. The manti (steamed dumplings) were perfectly cooked and filled with juicy, flavorful meat. For those who love grilled meats, the shashlik was exceptional—tender, smoky, and served with fresh vegetables and warm flatbread.

The service was attentive and friendly, making the meal even more enjoyable. It’s clear that the chefs here take great pride in their craft, and it shows in every dish. Whether you’re new to Uzbek cuisine or a long-time fan, this place is definitely worth a visit! Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something unique and delicious.
