I discovered Chino Mex while I was at Kroger and noticed the restaurant had just opened. I wasn’t aware of their hours and ended up placing my order very close to closing time. Even though it was last minute, they were incredibly kind and still fulfilled my order, although a few items were no longer available. That level of customer service really stood out to me.
The environment is very chill, and the staff are extremely kind and thoughtful. Another great thing is that their food is Halal, which was a nice surprise since not many restaurants offer that option.
Now let’s talk about the food. It’s amazing. The spicy chow mein and the spicy orange chicken both have a nice little kick to them, but they’re not overwhelmingly spicy. My boyfriend has almost no spice tolerance, so it was a bit much for him, but for anyone who enjoys a small kick of spice, I would definitely recommend trying those dishes.
The birria fries are absolutely incredible and honestly to die for. The flavors are rich and really well balanced. Since I’m currently on a caloric deficit diet, I ordered steamed rice with their sautéed vegetables and the salt and pepper shrimp, and it was delicious while still feeling like a lighter option.
Overall, the quality of the food is beyond great, and the customer service made the experience even better. I will definitely be recommending Chino Mex to everyone I know.

This place hits the perfect sweet spot for takeout options. I got a munchie box with quesabirria, spicy lo mein, and pineapple chicken. Portions were generous, especially the quesabirria which was served open-faced and piled with meat. Lo mein was not too spicy, but had a mild heat that built as I ate it. They’re still in soft open phase, and I will definitely be back.

My daughter and I would always chuckle when we saw a Chinese-Mexican fusion restaurant because we didn’t think it would go together very well but I have to say Chino-Mex knocked it out of the park! I’ve been seeing this place in the shared parking lot of Kroger for a while and I was curious. I was worried that it would just be a gimmic, but it is great! A fusion I never would have thought of, executed well. A little more pricy than a “Panda Express”, but worth it for the quality and amount of food.
