I went to Chino Grande for the first time, and I loved everything. The food was amazing, and the service was great as well. The food does take a little time to come out, but trust me—the wait is absolutely worth it.
The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The pepper steak with rice? Amazing—just incredible flavors all around. Everything we tried was so good.
Don’t skip the avocado salad or the side of tostones with salsa verde. They’re the perfect way to start your meal. The salad was super refreshing with a nice nutty taste.
I 1,000% recommend this place

This Chinese Latin fusion restaurant was interesting. The mixed drinks were interested and good. The staff was nice and attentive.
The atmosphere is very dark and intimate kind of vibe. Not too much noise. Which is great to chat with friends.
We got a few dishes. The Frito mixto was very good with the fried plantains and whatnot. The ceviche aji verde was great with a big flat fried plantain to scoop up the ceviche. The thrice cooked chicharron was ok. It was way too fatty at certain points where it was hard to swallow the far when it wasn’t rendered enough and too much chewing but the flavor was decent. The tres salchichas fried rice was pretty good with the hop chaeng, loganisa and chorizo sausage. The shrimp saltado was decent. We also got the black pepper beef that was decent but a bit too savory and salty
Overall the meal was ok. It felt like some of the dishes was a bit too salty and hit or miss.

One of my favorite places now to eat Latino food now in NYC!!!! Visited mast week and had the Frito Mixto and ate every single yuca they had!!! Everything tasted fresh and hand made. Also got the rice and beans with the black pepper beef and chicharrón. My favorite was the black pepper beef. Was so soft and tender. The chicharrón was good but had a lot of fat (chicharrón always has fat lol) for me. The parts of meat were actually really good. For drinks we got the Pandan and it was delicious. Definitely one of the best drinks I’ve had in a while. Will surely pass and eat at this place if around!!! Btw they had Karaoke too if interested!

Chino Grand! You killed it. Went here with a fellow foody after admiring from afar for awhile. Lived up to the hype and then some. Great vibes, food was fantastic, good cocktails. Atmosphere was fun, good place for a hangout or a date. Late night Karaoke looked fun! Can’t wait to go back to explore the rest of the menu.

This place blew my tastebuds out of the park! Wow, everything was divino. From the flavorful prawns, the crispy chorizo eggrolls, the savory ceviche, even the yuca frito was phenomenal! 10/10 would recommend.
The restaurant is a bit small so I highly recommend making a reservation. P.S: their happy hour includes food!

We were so excited to try Chino Grande after all the online buzz. The food was great—no issues there. We love supporting local restaurants, but sadly, the service was shockingly poor. Our server/bartender, Stephen was rude and made us feel like a burden. Dishes were slammed, we felt extremely rushed and the whole atmosphere became uncomfortable.
Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I get how tough staffing can be. But no matter how short-staffed, you never let a guest feel your stress—because, in the end, your customers are why you’re in business. They pay for your paycheck. A word of advice: Never let a customer feel like an inconvenience. Despite the food, we’ll never return.

I will start out by saying that I was so excited to try Chino Grande. The food looked amazing on Instagram. The vibe was great inside. Loved the music. Our waiter was very accommodating and the hostess was very nice. My disappointment came from the food. I’ll start with my drink the Henny Colada, which was good! but had so much ice and so little of the actual drink. We ordered the Chips N’ Dip, Ceviche Aji Verde, Thrice-Cooked Chicharron, Chicarron de Pollo, and the Black Pepper Beef. Overall every dish lacked seasoning. The Chips N’ Dip the crab dip was fresh but lacked flavor, similar to the Ceviche. The Thrice-Cooked Chicarron all I could taste was ketchup and barely any seasoning. The Black Pepper Beef and Chicarron De Pollo, WHERE WAS THE SEASONING??? Everything was cooked to perfection but the lack of seasoning was such a disappointment. I really wanted to like this place, I really wanted to.

I wanted to love it but the food was underseasoned, very over rated and pricy for the quality. We ordered the ceviche, the 3x cooked chicharon, chicharon de pollo, the pepper steak and the crab dip. Drinks were good but served with way to much ice. Service is great, overall vibe is great. I wanted to love it.

Omg the best food I’ve had in a long time. It was like I got one item and I was like how could anything top that, then the next thing I ordered was like omg no this one is it. And the hits kept coming.
The eggroll was stuffed and super flavorful and the sauce that came with it compliments it sooo well. Great appetizer.
Chicharron was tender and had that nice crispy crunch with the finger licking sauce, soo good!
The ceviche…… just get it, it was light and fresh…. I’m drooling thinking about it lol.
Now the stars of the show were the drunken chicken and the rice and beans. I love me some rice and beans but the chino twist on it made me loooooove rice and beans more. The chicken was 10 out of 10, very well cooked, I’m lucky I don’t live near here because I would get fat off of this place lol. That sauce was soo good! Don’t let me forget that flan which me and my boyfriend didn’t wanna share because it was soo good but we were stuffed but man I wanted one to go so bad. Chef Dylan did his thing and the staff was super friendly, polite, and accommodating, thank you Chino Grande we will definitely be back!
