We had a great time today! We didn’t know about this place until we went to the mall to visit the petting zoo. Afterward, we were hungry and weren’t sure what to eat for lunch. Since this restaurant was new to us, we decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad we did.
I love the decor here; it’s very modern and bright. As for the food, there were so many options on the menu. We were definitely eyeing the fried chicken, but we decided to try something new instead. I ordered the bulgogi, and it was delicious. Another bonus was that the food came out pretty quickly.
Overall, we really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back soon.

Five-Stars All-Around!

This was an exceptionally pleasant surprise! My family has been huge fans of Bonchon, Korean fried chicken for years, so to find a place that’s closer to home was exciting. What’s even more exciting is that this place may surpass Bonchon in many ways.

First, the atmosphere is upscale, with very comfortable seating, great lighting, and fun decor. It feels much nicer than it should.

Service was fast and friendly. The food arrived at our table in less than 10 minutes.

Having only Bonchon to compare to for Korean French chicken, I was pleasantly surprised at Chingu’s recipe. I might give Bonchon a slight edge on flavor, but that would be a matter of personal preference, as Chingu’s wings grew on me with every bite. Chingu’s wings are slightly “brighter” than Bonchon with what seemed like a little citrus twist. They’re perfectly crispy and wonderfully flavored. The steamed buns were perfection. Everything is priced fairly. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked mouthwateringly delicious, which will compel us to come back several times, I’m sure.

Overall, we are exceptionally happy with our visit, and eagerly look forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu.

We stopped by in the afternoon, and it wasn’t busy at the time, though there was a steady flow of takeout orders.

We were served by Aim and Ian, who were both incredibly kind and attentive. They checked on us often, kept our drinks full, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their service really made the experience enjoyable!

The atmosphere was lovely — the interior design is beautifully done, and the furniture is high quality. The entire place felt clean and well maintained. We usually go to another spot for Korean chicken, but since it’s quite far from home, we’re thrilled to have found a place nearby that offers comparable dishes. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and generously portioned — definitely more than what many other places are offering these days for a higher price. This will definitely be our new go-to spot!

The only thing worth noting is that they share the space with Kyo Matcha, which can be a bit confusing at first. When you enter from the parking lot, it’s not immediately clear where to go if you’re visiting Kyo. For those looking for Kyo Matcha, it’s located toward the back, past the Chingu/Chi Maek dining area. A small sign or clearer directions at the entrance would be helpful.

The food is worth a try. The ambiance is to be admired.
They know how to satisfy patrons with an open palette for Korean flavors. I haven’t had a lot of kimchi jjigae but I would go back just for this. Side of rice costs extra.

Friendly staffs with reasonable price. Crispy fries were on point. Soy garlic potstickers were good. Soy garlic fried crispy chicken few were dried, most of them were juicy. Crispy Pork katsu was flavored with rice and salad. Perfectly cooked udon noodle soup hits the spot with mild flavor. Japchae was a little too sweet with too much sauce and lack of sesame oil flavor. Seafood kimchi soup was great.

So happy that there’s finally a korean fried chicken spot in area!

We were able to try a variety by choosing the seafood fried rice, tteokbokki, shrimp shumai, and danmae korean fried chicken w/ pickled radish on the side. We got the chicken wing + drums combo seeing as that felt like best offer. I loved the flavors and I feel sure want to try their spiciest flavor next time! I really recommend everything besides the tteokbokki as it was only thing I didn’t prefer.
For the service it was honestly the best. Everything came out really fast and hot. The entire service was amazing and they were always there when we needed them. They provided gloves and chopsticks when requested by us as well!
Overall I highly recommend people check this spot out with their friends and family!

First time trying a Korean Fried Chicken restaurant. Came with a few other people. We were looking for something relatively quick and tasty. The restaurant is on the outside of a small shopping mall. It has a large, brightly lit, clean, and well designed interior. It is a sit down restaurant with no alcoholic beverages available.

When we arrived the night before Thanksgiving, it wasn’t that busy, with only a few other tables. Our server got us settled in. We said that it was our first time, and we got a little help with some of the items. We ended up with an assortment of items: Pork Buns, Fried Chicken Combo, Gesokara (Deep Fried Squid), and Galbi (Grilled Marinated Short Ribs).

The Pork Buns and the Fried Squid came out first. They were both very good. The buns were soft, and the pork belly was tender and fatty. The Fried Squid was amazingly good. Super crispy, spicy but not too hot, and the squid was tender and not overcooked.

Next came the fried chicken and the short ribs. The chicken was very good. Nicely crisp, and the soy garlic sauce was a great touch. The short ribs were a big disappointment. You should know that these are cut differently than what you might be used to. They cut the ribs horizontally, so you essentially have something more like a flat steak with several bones running through it. The issue was not the cut but the tenderness and flavor. They were tough and a bit tasteless. Using the soy garlic sauce from the chicken helped.

The dinner was very good overall. I would order most of the items again, with the big exception of the short ribs. It would also be nice to have some alcoholic drink options, beer or seltzer.

My wife and I went to the Burnsville Chingu and really enjoyed our 1st visit. We didn’t order any apps since we were pretty hungry. I ordered the spicy and mild wings along with the spicy chicken tacos, and everything came out hot, crispy, and full of flavor. I also want to include that this is now one of two places I have found that has great coleslaw. My wife ordered the buldak, japchae, and mild wings, she loved her choices and told me they were full of flavor.

After dinner we went over to the other side where they serve matcha drinks, and I picked one up for her to wrap up the night. We got my wife the brown sugar boba tea with oatmeal milk. There were a few little hiccups from our experience in the dining area, but Wendy made the whole experience worth it. She has such a great attitude, friendly, positive, and easy to talk to. It was nice learning a bit more about Chingu from her.

The Burnsville location is clean, modern, and has a really good vibe overall. We’ll definitely be back again to try other menu options, and that awesome service from Wendy.

Looks fancy inside, service was extremely attentive, food was really good. The chicken is on the expensive side for what you get but they had other entrees that really took the show for us. The japchae had some amazing flavor and the sauces on the chicken katsu really added great flavor. The chicken was juicy as well. Will come again if I’m in the area!

I ordered food the night before for a group of parents and we thought it was so amazing so I came back the next day with my boys. The chicken wings had a great crisp under the sauce, the sauce wasn’t overly spicy and the wings were swimming in sauce. As a side I ordered picked radish, which were amazing. The fries – fried to perfection. The servers were super friendly and helpful.
We will be back again and often.
