This restaurant is a local favorite for south Reno/Tahoe area, it’s been there for over 2 decades. A 3 generation family owns it who are so friendly and nice. Their food is amazing everytime. Entire variety of Classic Chinese. Wonderful atmosphere fish tank, fountain and paintings created by their extremely talented artist daughter. Great parents, great people always so friendly. The prices are so reasonable for the quality. Unbelievable place , we so glad they’re there!

We ordered to go and spent over 80 dollars. The food was bland and the orange chicken was so dry it was chewy and stringy. Barely any sauce. The worst Chinese ever.

The restaurant makes the most authentic Chinese food in Reno. The owners not only make authentic Sichuan food but also really tasty Jiangsu/Shanghai food. Whenever my husband and I go, we do not even look at the menu, we just ask what’s good today & we take whatever they prepare. We also ordered our Lunar New Year dinner from here and it was amazing: handmade dumplings, Nanjing salted duck, smoked fish… yum! Thank you! We will be back weekly, if not more frequent!

Was not impressed with the food. I’ve tried restaurant a few times and was dissatisfied more than not. Food is more on the bland side and portions were small. The sesame chicken did not look or taste freshly cooked. It was chewy and sauce was caramelized as if sauce was added to previously cooked chicken (like from lunch time or previous days dinner) and then heated up. Will not be my first choice when ordering Chinese food going forward.

We went here for lunch. The lunch combo is a good deal as you get an entree, appetizer and soup. I had the egg flower soup, spring roll and vegetable chow mein. I found the soup to not be very good as there was not much in it except egg whites, it was gloopy and needed more seasonings. The egg roll was very good, flaky wrap, tasty and warm. The chow mein had a great amount of vegetables but again no much seasonings. I added a lot of soy sauce, hot mustard and salt to make it better.

We spent about 6 minutes waiting to be seated and finally the person sitting at a table got up and helped us. This was surprising as we were the only ones in the restaurant. The waitress was sweet and made it more fun. I probably won’t be going here again for a long while as I think other places have more flavor.

I strongly recommend you trying the chef’s new dish: pineapple fried rice. Sweet chopped pineapple makes the fried rice more tasty. It is very good combination: the dish looks good and taste delicious.

Food was hot and plentiful just a quick bite to eat today. No one else was there. Nice chandelier lanterns!

Thank you for a wonderful lunch with my group of friends!

I enjoy this family owned and run restaurant and have eaten here for years.

The food is prepared freshly for each dish. I always find the vegetables to be cooked perfectly. I generally choose spicier dishes, and know that I can ask for a level of heat if I wish.

I’ll be back!

The sweet and sour sauce had a more vinegar like taste, tolerable at best. Shrimp Egg Foo Yung was bland, the sauce helped it out. Large portions are served, however I have had the same amount of portions for a less expensive price. A lady that first greeted me was very professional and very friendly. The man who took my order who by the coat he was wearing is also the head cook talked and in a tone and presence totally unlike the lady, sorry to have to say it he was an s.o.b. and what’s so funny about the behavior is the restaurant needs a serious furnishings and paint and lighting upgrade. If your going to bark at paying customers about how many decades you’ve been in business there, step up and look the part dude. I am pretty sure I will not be returning to this food establishment.
