The sweet and sour sauce had a more vinegar like taste, tolerable at best. Shrimp Egg Foo Yung was bland, the sauce helped it out. Large portions are served, however I have had the same amount of portions for a less expensive price. A lady that first greeted me was very professional and very friendly. The man who took my order who by the coat he was wearing is also the head cook talked and in a tone and presence totally unlike the lady, sorry to have to say it he was an s.o.b. and what’s so funny about the behavior is the restaurant needs a serious furnishings and paint and lighting upgrade. If your going to bark at paying customers about how many decades you’ve been in business there, step up and look the part dude. I am pretty sure I will not be returning to this food establishment.

I strongly recommend you trying the chef’s new dish: pineapple fried rice. Sweet chopped pineapple makes the fried rice more tasty. It is very good combination: the dish looks good and taste delicious.

We’ve ordered takeout a few times and have dined in a few times and we’re always happy with both the service and quality of food. We love eating here!

The orange chicken is basically fat scraps breaded and deep fried. It’s very dry and oily. Also, my fried rice had a hair in it. I asked to send back my chicken and they told me it wouldn’t be possible to send back or substitute. Overall I was very disappointed and would not recommend it.

Extremely unsatisfied ! 50 dollars spent & I couldn’t eat it . The main entree was 3 spoons full & had 2 pieces of meat in it and the egg flour soup tasted like they dumped a half a cup of sugar in it .

It’s definitely a Chinese food restaurant. Food was good and the people were friendly. Service was prompt and the food was fresh and hot. No sweet and sour pork though for some reason.

Literally from opening day almost two decades ago, thru last night, our Reno family has dined at the Chinese Village. The food is excellent. Always fresh food accompanied by a great beer list. Owners Steve and Charlene, with artist Daughter Jade’s paintings adorning the walls, make for an enjoyable evening.

Chinese village is a hidden gem in South Reno. I’ve been enjoying their food for quite some time. Their chicken chow mein is absolutely delicious. I order it every time I visit. It’s a perfect pair for the Generals chicken, which is on the moderate spicy side. The staff is very polite and friendly. I usually dine alone but it’s great for friends and families alike. They have a life long customer in me.

OK so we are new to Reno and my wife and I saw this little restaurant and we decided to try it. First of all Customer service who is bad and second of all I found a hair in my food it was to go so I drove all the way home sat down and I began to eat the sweet and sour chicken was dried and tasted frozen the beef broccoli was flavor less and the rice as well the hot and sour soup tasted like metal so I drove back to the restaurant I told the lady the food was nasty and it had a hair in my food she told me her restaurant has been open for 20 years and people are eating the same food as me it was just my taste buds but I told her I found a hair and I was trying to feed my son and that’s just nasty she completely ignored that I found a hair in my food and she just told me OK what do you want me to do I told her I want my money back because this food is no good and she told me OK OK but you don’t come back to my restaurant and I told her OK I’m not going to come back to your restaurant and she just left mad
