Only one positive note, the egg roll is best I’ve had in Cincinnati so far, 4 stars. It ends there. Everything else was not so great. Almost everything had a tinge of overcooked/burnt oil. Beef Teryiaki had no business with Teryiaki being in the name, flavorless. Meat was also cheap quality. Fried rice needs some pork. Sesame chicken quality was okay, taste was okay but also had burnt flavor. Take out, can’t speak to atmosphere.

Went online looking for Chinese food, nearby. So glad this restaurant popped up. We had 1 shrimp eggroll, fried wonton,hot&sour soup, 1 fried oyster, shrimp egg foo young, and sizzling wor bar. Hot tea with meal.
When we walked in, I knew we were in the right place. We were the only Caucasian people there. Several families were enjoying dinner. It was some of the best food we have had for quite awhile.

Solid 3 stars, the place is a bit older and not the prettiest but the hostess was fast and my lunch came out hot and within 8 minutes of me ordering.
Could use a facelift inside and out, but overall a positive experience, and I would return.

The full order was as follows:
General Tsao Chicken – 3.1, less sauce is usually better, but they really skimped. Chicken was cooked prior and reheated.
Beef fried rice – 1.7, they package this in the small rice container. Very bland taste and the beef was hard to eat.
Chicken and broccoli – 1.5, very slimy. It looks very unappetizing and had no flavor. More broccoli than chicken, this made me sad.
Egg rolls – 7.1, the highlight of the meal which was surprising. This is easy to mess up and theirs are better than average.
Roast pork wonton soup – 4.1, the crispy pieces that come on the side were old and stale, the soup was decent. Wontons could use some help, but I’ve had worse.

Whenever I’m craving some good, Chinese comfort food, Chinese Imperial Inn is my go to. Every time I come in I am met with such kind service. The food is like a warm hug with every bite. I think its an excellent value. Consistently good quality and service. I dont know the woman’s name who cashes you out but I adore her and always feel so welcomed when I come in. Check it out if you haven’t!

I personally like the food. The only place with ginger lobster dish that I prefer. I sometimes get it as take out and heat it up by putting it in the air fryer (makes it crunchy). I also love the rock tofu. Those are the two main dishes that I come for.

This place has 2 menus. An “American” Chinese food menu and a Chinese food menu. I am only interested in and reviewing the Chinese food menu. It is fantastic. The service is good as long as you realize that the person serving you doesn’t really speak English. This place is 5 stars only because the food is that good. Really it is a hole in the wall but the food is just so good you should get past it and just eat.

Very nice experience. I worked late and walked in ravenous…. Within a instant of being shown to a table the kind waitress placed a pot of hot tea and crunchy chips and hot mustard and duck sauce before me. I ordered Triple delight w/ Fried rice. Quickly a large serving plate was presented with rice served in separate bowl. I could tell it was a huge portion intended to be eaten slow and savor the blend of podded snow peas, onion slices, carrot slices, slices of pork, shrimp, and chicken. So I sat back and took my time… There is a special art of blending a fine mixture of flavors, spices, ingredients, and textures to achieve a magical dining experience. It is a skill I will never achieve and it is something you have to experience for yourself. Halfway through my meal I had forgotten my daily trails and tribulations and drifted away to my lovely meal. I finished revived and refreshed from my day….I hope you can find and enjoy this fine place in your travels. ❤❤ please up my review if you find it helpful
