General chicken tonight is not fresh or spicy enough and they put zucchini in it which I love zucchini but not mixed with the broccoli with long stems as filler The carrots were minimal this time. They also quit putting onions in it. What next?

Food was fresh and had great flavor. Very clean restaurant. Service was excellent. Had Lo Mein, orange chicken, fried rice, egg roll and pot stickers all of which were great. Only downside was I ordered egg foo young and they were out. Ordered lemon chicken and they were out of that too. Maybe put a sign up so people know what you’re out of.

If we blind tasted their general and cashew chicken dishes, neither tasted specific to the dish’s name. General (ordered medium heat to be safe) completely missed the mark on the unique flavor it’s expected to have. Paid extra for white meat, still got some dark pieces. Not a deal breaker. Hoisin taste absent. Cashew chicken was even more bland. No distinct cashew taste, no cashews, no kidding. Took one bite of egg roll. Hot/sour soup was heavy on sour, egg drop soup was flavorless. Crab rangoon was good. Rice was different. We’ve dined at Chinese restaurants all over the Midwest. Never left food behind til this meal. Maybe their main cook was out for the day, it happens. Based on reviews and decades of being in business, maybe we’ll try them again.

This was our first visit to Chinese Chef. The restaurant looked and smelled clean. There is a buffet area, but it only housed fortune cookies. The MooGoo was good, but was a play on twos. 2 shrimp, 2 strips of beef, 2 of chicken, the rest were vegetables. The cashew chicken was different than we’re used to, but flavorful. The only real complaint, apart from the portion size, was the rice. Cold and undercooked.

We did take out only because it was after 9pm and the was a storm that knocked out power around the area. But they did a great job, and the food was so great!

Food was great, service was not so great . The lady kept running my debit card after telling her it was the wrong card and I needed to give her the right one . She continued to run my card to the point they locked it . She acted like we were annoying her by being there .

After waiting in the drive thru for 30 mins I got my food home. The chicken was tough and obviously old. If that were the only problem I wouldn’t have left a review. Unfortunately an hour or so after eating i got severely sick. Im assuming they have a very unsanitary kitchen.
