The food was AUTHENTIC and DELICIOUS! So glad I found this place. My tacos, the salsas, and my churros were fantastic. Unfortunately, we came across this gem on the last day of our vacation, otherwise we would’ve had dinner here EVERY. NIGHT. Can’t wait to come back when I’m in the area again. The staff were so friendly and attentive! I called ahead to ask if they had churros, and somehow he figured it out that it was me and brought out the churros at the end of our meal! I was like “how did you know?!” 10/10⭐️
Not pictured: The tamales were so freaking good at Chinelos Taqueria. We ordered one of each. We tried a few from different places during our week stay and they were terrible.. The birria tacos were perfection. Tasty as hell. And the side of rice and beans?! *chefs kiss*

Amazing FOOD!!! Very small hole in the wall place. Authentic Mexican Food. My 8yr old Daughter loved her food as well. She got the Chicken Burrito Kids meal and I got the Chimichanga. Absolutely Delicious Hidden Gem of a place!!

If you are looking for real, authentic Mexican flavor, Chinelos Taqueria is the place to go. I lived in California for 10 years, surrounded by a large Mexican community, so I know exactly what genuine Mexican food should taste like, and this spot nails it.
While the menu isn’t massive, everything they do, they do perfectly. The carnitas are absolutely outstanding; I 100% recommend them. My father is obsessed with their carnitas quesadillas, and they never disappoint. Also, their salsas are incredibly flavorful and have that authentic kick that is hard to find elsewhere.
The store is located right here in Kenneth City and it’s a gem. If you want the real deal and not just ‘Tex-Mex,’ you have to visit Chinelos. Highly recommended!

Delicious tacos, personally though the chorizo stole the show for me. All three tacos were filled with plenty of meat and the house salsa was perfect (I could drink it).

I loved visiting Chinelos Taqueria! A family owned “hole in the wall” restaurant that will out cook any mainstream Mexican restaurant in the Tampa Bay area, in my opinion! I ordered a simple taco combo, and the authenticity of the blended flavors were rich. It came with a small side of rice, and coated refried beans. I’ve traveled to real- deal parts of Mexico several times, and when I tell you this is the real deal, this IS the REAL deal. I had some room for dessert, so I ordered churros, and DELICIOUS would be an understatement. They were cooked to perfection. You can certainly taste that they are made in house. The texture of the churros were not to hard nor too soft, and they were drizzled with the right amount of sugar and caramel.
The ambience also set the tone: rodeo shows and Latin artist based concerts playing on the TV, with traditional decor hanging throughout the storefront- it beautifully added to the authentic experience. The owner was also so kind, and you can tell how passionate he is about what he does. I was visiting on a work trip, but plan to be back when my family joins me in the summer. In the meantime you take a visit and support this small business. Wishing them many many years of success!

It might not be a large and fancy restaurant but their service is top notch, the food is fantastic, and the experience made us look forward to returning! They work hard and this place reflects it!… P.S. Try the popsicles and horchata drink!
