My friend has been praising this place for years, so today we went to out for our girls night out. It was 6pm on a Saturday, it wasn’t busy and when we walked in, a very nice lady greeted us with a huge smile and sat us immediately. She came over and chatted with us, my friend and I are “Chatty Cats”, and we like when service workers engage. We asked for her recommendations and everything was amazing. I have to admit General Gau’s Chicken is not for me but my friend kept raving about it so we ordered it. They even served us a discontinued item, the West Nile soup. EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD. I was impressed with their flavors, we didn’t need any additional sauces.

I recently visited this restaurant and had the chance to try their new dim sum menu, which they just introduced in August. The food was absolutely delicious — each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I especially appreciated the variety of options, making it perfect for sharing with family and friends.
The service was excellent as well. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the new dim sum menu and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and tasty dishes. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

In general, this restaurant I believe has been over burdened significantly with far too many orders and far too much business that they just cannot handle from year to year.
So they put certain procedures in place like around New Year’s to try to offset the outrageous amount of business that they receive, and unfortunately, this has reduced the quality of their food and the quality of their service. For example, this year, I was very excited to continue my family‘s tradition of more than 40 years of ordering Chinese food at New Year’s. And one of the few places that was available was Chinatown in Stoughton. But the quality of the food was really leaving much to be desired.
I want to say that overall this has been one of the better Chinese food restaurants that my family and I have ever enjoyed.
I must make it very clear that it is far far far better to sit down and eat in this restaurant, the food fresh that it is to take out and get it delivered or to go.
There is a clear distinction between quality of their food that is sent out versus the food the serve you in the restaurant. And the atmosphere of the restaurant in the dining room is really wonderful. They have a very beautiful dining room. Clearly you can see that this restaurant has geared their entire eating experience around coming and sitting down in the restaurant.
It’s not that the food is a different kind of food, it’s just that the way this particular restaurant is working is that their food is just I don’t know why but a lot better quality fresh than it is for takeout.
I don’t know how the restaurant could improve in this way, but I do believe that it’s difficult for them because of how much business they do and they are trying their very best! So I will still give them 4 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
But I encourage this restaurant to have a meeting and perhaps consider how they can improve the quality of their food and their service during the busiest times of the year like New Year’s. Then I believe Chinatown in Stoughton would be the top notch, premier Chinese food restaurant in the entire South Shore.

Under new management!!! I had heard good things but had to try for myself. You walk in and have a great view of the huge kitchen. They are still training but that didn’t change the great service. I ate in the bar area. All of the tables were full, that was a good sign. I had the pleasure of talking to Kevin who now runs it. Great guy, very approachable. They have a fantastic lunch menu that you for the most part get to pick the items. Endless combinations. Their Hot and Sour Soup was absolutely delicious! They use an old school recipe that is full of flavor and finished with sesame oil. I wanted to lick the bowl. My combo was Lobster Sauce with Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. First let me preface this by saying I’ve reviewed around 100 Chinese food restaurants on here. Their Egg Roll is most likely the best I have ever had. I dreamed about that Egg Roll all night. Probably will tonight too. Lobster Sauce and Pork Fried Rice were delicious! I also really liked the flavors in the very tender Orange Beef. Starts with that tangy flavor and leaves with just a little kick. Hot mustard is ! Great duck sauce too!
Really excited to see their comeback. More excited that my experience exceeded expectations! Go check them out!
Edit: Went back to have the Spareribs on the Bone! These are some of the best of the best! 6 very meaty, flavorful, perfect char, juicy bites of heaven are absolutely delicious and worthy of a cross state drive! Picture of them added!
I also added another Egg Roll pic that looks like a dragon!

Started with a couple of Mai tai’s and they were spot on! The food was really good. We moved on to some appetizers and had peking ravioli’s. Ordered two different kinds pork and vegetable. Both were delicious! Spare ribs were made to perfection. Vegetable fried rice and sirloin steak with mixed vegetables. Everything was very flavorful and cooked just right!
Our waitress was very nice and attentive.

Good, affordable Chinese food. Mix of some authentic and more American-Chinese food on the menu, and they now have sushi and dimsum as well. My family has been here many times and I think it’s recently under new management. We really like the beef chow fun, seafood with homemade noodles, Singapore rice noodles, tofu family style, fried rice, mooshu pork with pancakes, salt and pepper fish. They are pretty fast and good for takeout as well.

We’ve been coming here for close to 30 years. It was my father in laws favorite place. And the best Chinese food in the area. We’ve moved away and just came back for the first time in probably 6 or 7 years and were pleased to find the food just as good as we remembered. It used to be a mob scene, it no longer is which is good. Interior is a little worn 80s interior given the amount of traffic it has seen over the years, but that is secondary. We had both of our kids Bar and Bat Mitzvahs here. as they have a separate function room. This is still the best Chinese food in Canton, Stoughton, Sharon area. We’ll be back!

I worked all day and arrived home hungry and tired. I decided to order Chinese food, a “LARGE SHRIMP LO MEIN”. When I got home, I found it strange when I opened the packaging. I didn’t see any shrimp. I decided to look for them and count them, and to my surprise, there were only 6 small shrimp. Absurd! To make matters worse, I decided to call and complain so that other people wouldn’t be scammed. The manager of this establishment was very rude and said that was the portion she offered! A real scam. Paying for a dish that wasn’t worth it. And I even gave a tip. Unfortunately, I paid for stress. Stay away from this establishment if you don’t want to be ripped off.
