For the main course, I had the American Wagyu ribeye, and wow… absolutely incredible. An excellent twist on the classic ribeye, elevated with rich Asian-inspired sauces that brought everything together perfectly.
To finish on a sweet note, I treated myself to the fried rice pudding with berry sauce and it did not disappoint. The perfect balance of warm, crispy, and sweet. Amazing!
Overall, I give this place a 5/5. Great ambiance, impeccable service, and truly delicious food from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
P.S. killed it with the chocolate fortune cookies!!! Wow!
The food and drinks were amazing. It was truly a perfect blend of both worlds. For appetizers, we started with the Asada Wagyu Dumplings and the Chinaloa Buns, and both were fantastic. The drinks were equally impressive. My husband ordered a Horchata Matcha Margarita and it came with a tiny paleta. I had the Passion Fruit Thai Paloma. Both the presentation and flavor were spot-on.
The main highlight was the Lamb Shank Mixiote, a traditional Mexican dish given a creative twist with fried rice on the side. My husband ordered it, and it easily stole the show. I had the Crispy Chili Chicken, which was delicious, but next time I’ll definitely be trying the Mixiote.
The staff and owner were incredibly nice and attentive throughout our meal. For dessert, we enjoyed churros with matcha ice cream, which the owner mentioned are made in-house.
Overall, my husband and I had an amazing experience. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to our friends and family.
My must try dishes:
Esquites Dumplings with morita mayo foam (wild fusion dish)
Chinaloa Seafood Tower
GOBERNADOR SPRING ROLL
FRIED LEMONGRASS RICE PUDDING
Alex and their culinary team took us on a culinary journey into a very well executed fusion of Asian and Mexican food.
We had requested smaller portions for two so that we could have a taste of must of the menu items. Among our favorites were:
Asada Wagyu dumplings: perfectly cooked dumplings with juicy and flavorful filling.
Birria bao buns: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and full of birria. Definitely our favorite from all the apps.
Gobernador spring roll: super delicious and moist. The vegetables and shrimp o the inside were moist and very delicious. The tamarind chilli sauce pairs really well.
Baja style sushi roll: delicious and fresh all around. We left that plate cleeeaaaan!
Ramen Pancita: it was just great. Delicious broth paired with the pancita and ramen noodles, topped with an egg on top.
Lastly the one that stole the show:
Lamb shank Mixiote: super tender lamb on top of a crispy vegetable fried rice and infuse with the same broth from the lamb. Super delicious and a must try.
Service was great and Alex did an amazing job of explaining each dish, flavors and their play into the fusion aspect. Would definitely come back and would recommend everyone give them a try.
For food we had the spicy tuna rolls and the birria bao buns.
The rolls were good! But the buns were the start of the show. A must try.
Followed it up with the horchata matcha margarita and the tamarind sake margarita.
Finished the night with desert. We had the homemade churros with matcha and the fried rice pudding with berries sauce. Both were worth coming here for on their own but the rice pudding stole the show in the desert section.
Everything we tried here was 5 stars which is a rare thing. Highly recommend!
Also staff were incredibly kind and took the time to chat and explain the dishes. True gem of a find. Would return whenever possible!
Definitely recommend the Horchata Matcha Margarita and esquites dumplings. The food is savory, unique, delicious while the drinks will have you mesmerized.
The decore is beautiful with great overall environment.
The fusion is very well executed!
We tried a lot of the appetizers on the menu, dim sum style. We loved every one of them. Great presentation, creative ideas, delicious taste!
The deserts were also on point.
Highly recommend
