This family-owned Chinese restaurant always makes us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walk in. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and attentive, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. In addition to their delicious meals, they also sell some of their house-made sauces and other specialty items, which is such a fun bonus. I tried the Szechuan bean sprouts this time — they were flavorful and fresh — though I still have a soft spot for their Kung Pao Chicken, which is my favorite. My son ordered the General Tso tofu, and he absolutely loves it every time. My mom sticks with her go-to sweet and sour chicken, which she orders on every visit. It’s one of those comforting places we keep coming back to.

Excellent Chinese American Cuisine, deliciously executed and beautifully plated. The flavors and textures were well balanced. Good vegetarian options and solid classics like General Tso’s. The interior of the restaurant is neat and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. This place has the best lunch specials around. Delicious at an amazing price!

This is easily the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. From the very first order, everything was perfect. We got sesame chicken, pot stickers, crab Rangoon, egg drop soup, egg rolls, fried rice, and noodles, and every single dish was amazing. The flavors were rich, everything was cooked just right, and the portions were generous. When I picked up the food, it was fresh and piping hot, which is exactly what you want with takeout. On top of that, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
What really impressed me was the consistency. The second time, we decided to have it delivered, and I was expecting the usual drop in quality that happens with some places. But not here. The food arrived just as hot, fresh, and delicious as if I had picked it up myself. Everything tasted just as good as the first time, and nothing was missing or incorrect.
It’s hard to find a Chinese restaurant that gets everything right! From the flavor, portion size, freshness, consistency, and great customer service, but this place absolutely delivers. Whether you pick it up or have it brought to your door, you can expect great food every time. This has definitely become my new favorite go-to Chinese restaurant, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing takeout.

We were warmly greated with hot tea and my favorite crunchy noodles. We ordered orange chicken and pork egg foo young from the lunch menu. The food is fresh, served hot, and wonderfully tasty and plated artfully. Excellent portions served in a clean, pleasant atmosphere.

We had dinner on Christmas 2024. Place was very busy but staff quickly cleaned a table and sat us. Egg drop soup was amazing. Entrees came out very fast. Staff were incredibly nice. The BEST orange chicken in every way! Highly recommend!!

My husband and I have dined at China Wok & Grill several times since they took over the space from Jade Tree. We loved Jade Tree and I’m glad that this establishment is carrying on the tradition of very good Chinese cuisine here in Mentor. The renovations were much needed and have made the restaurant brighter and very welcoming.

First time visit for three of us using the coupons received in the mail. We all agreed that our meals were very good, the dining room looked fresh and new and that we would return again. The only negative comment is that our server could have checked once or twice during our meal if we needed anything. Everyone was polite and friendly though. Pictured is the General Tao’s Chicken Combination.
