This is ‘the’ NY Style chinese take-out spot in Cape Girardeau.
Located in Central Cape-Girardeau, this unassuming spot delivers -consistency-.
The ingredients are fresh. The bell peppers, carrots, and green beans are all bright in color.
The kitchen is quick (around 10 minutes for a to-go order for two)
The vegetables are always cooked al-dente and kept crisp, not cooked into oblivion.
We’ve had
Beef and Broccoli, Spicy Beef, Szechuan Chicken, Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Fried Rice, Kung Pao Chicken, and Dumpling Soup.
We’ve been to every Chinese take-out spot in Cape Girardeau, this one for me is the most consistent and closest to what you’ll expect for NY style takeout.
The atmosphere is typical Chinese NY Take-out spot. Frenetic Pace, open concept with a fully visible kitchen and a dated overhead ‘backlit’ paper menu.

We ordered a beef fried rice extra beef and chicken fried rice. No onions or veggie in rice.. Just some yellow rice. Dont think chicken was evw done .

Ordered fried rice with chicken, literally got like 4-5 spoons and I don’t want to write about the taste. On that price we can get like x10 in another Chinese restaurant nearby. I felt like god sent this restaurant to punish me for throwing foods away in the past. You can see size of my hand, soy sauce packet & the food.

Small portions (at least what we ordered). And the chicken friend rice literally consists of 90% rice and 10% chicken and nothing else. Didn’t even throw any sauce in the bag for the dryness.

Definetly would not say it’s the best Chinese in cape. Sesame chicken was nearly all breading, broccoli was not cooked at all, rice was super hard. Crab rangoons were good but very small.

I don’t mean to review places often. When I do, it’s because something really itched me. I ordered the pork fried rice and two eggs rolls after I put in a 12 hour work day. What I get is, pork fried rice and two eggs rolls but I felt like I was eating seafood. Every bite was just not what I was expecting and didn’t taste the best. Eggs rolls were okay I suppose. I gave one away to my friend. If someone could get back with me, that’d be great.

Ok just WOW. Absolutely the best Chinese food since California. Everything is on point here. Orange chicken, Sesame Beef, Egg Fu Yong, boneless short ribs…all excellent. Friendly counter staff, fast service. Midrange in price (above order came to $56 with a $5 tip), but worth every penny. We’ve been here 3 times so far and have never been disappointed. Get your grub on here when ya get a hankering for Asian cuisine. You won’t regret it.
