Found inside of the Grand Traverse Mall, China Wok happens to have some of the most delicious Chinese food you’ll eat. The staff is quite friendly, and often listen to odd requests about customers orders. The food is quite filling, and everything is affordable.

I’ve eaten at the vast majority of Chinese takeout places in TC, and China Wok is without question my favorite. I find myself going to the mall specifically to eat China Wok’s food. The staff is also very friendly and very hardworking. They do a fantastic job!

I have been eating at this restaurant since it opened some time in the late 90s. The consistent quality of their delicious items have kept me fiercely loyal during that time and I will continue my obsession with their food until one of us leaves this world. I get the sesame chicken, pepper steak and the lo mein noodles. Cannot imagine living here without it!

I am being generous when I give 2 stars. We have eaten at China Wok off and on for the last 10 years or so. Stopped by on Tuesday, Oct 6, 2020 for a couple of to go meals. For my 25.00 we got tons of rice and almost no meat and 4 very bad tasting egg rolls. Seems with the drop in mall business the price of food at China Wok has gone through the roof. Last time I will buy food at China Wok. I truly feel that I was taken for a ride financially,. The food is pretty bad and what I paid made the experience made it even worse.

We travel, sometimes from as far away as Grand Rapids, to Traverse City and back in a day. If any of us are within a 50 mile radius of China Wok we are all meeting there for good, freshly made, takeout. Or whomever is up there that day is ordering & bringing back between 5 -10 sesame chicken, lo mein & veggie entrees to Grand Rapids and points in between. Generational necessity at this point. Lolol….

Ate here all my life. Moved out of town a few years ago but I have to go here everytime I come back. I have not found sesame chicken that tastes the same anywhere. Wish i had the sesame sauce recipe so i could enjoy it all year.

Advise you to use cash or check your credit card statements. Unhappy there have recently been charges of a tip – 5.00 -that I have not approved on my credit card statement in comparison to the receipt for food I still have. Yes I check my statements with my receipts each month to verify accuracy. Not happy and will only use cash from now on, you need to check too.
