After 18 years I have finally moved back home to Lima. I brought my Fiance back with me and he wanted some good Chinese food. I stated I always loved China Wok when I lived here but when visiting I always went somewhere else because my family that lives here preferred it (I won’t provide the place on this review ). He said he wanted to try what I loved when I lived here. So, we went!
Let me say, from the moment we walked in the gentleman (I didn’t get his name but he has taken over ownership since when I lived here) greeted us as “My friend”. He was extremely courteous, helpful, and definitely a great up-salesman lol.
We ordered the lunch Shrimp & Broccoli with fried rice (all the fixins), Beef Lomein (all the fixins), and 2 pork egg rolls. Everything came out piping hot and DELICIOUS!
You can tell when eating; love, passion, and GRIT was put in this food! I could taste, this new owner is proving himself and showing he KNOWS good flavors and what people want! He wasn’t overbearing once the food was out but stayed attentive to our needs. I never eat inside because I prefer to eat at home and watching my shows lol. That day I’m so glad my love convinced me to stay and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and our time together. I’m glad I got to show him a place that I loved and he loves it now too! Don’t sleep on CHINA WOK!!

Went there by myself on a Friday night early January. I was the only one that dined in at that time. Customer service was great, very attentive. Food was good. Smaller fine-in area so don’t plan to have a group larger than 4/5 max if they are busy.i tried the fried crab, not bad! Wonton egg drop soup was good!

We went for lunch and had a really good experience. I got the Honey Chicken with Lo Mein and my husband got Sweet and Sour pork with fried rice with egg and vegetables. It was all really good food! They don’t put the sauce on the sweet and sour pork which we were a little surprised by but it doesn’t change the fact that it was really good. We also got crab Rangoons and a pork and a vegetable egg roll. The crab Rangoons were delicious and the egg rolls were really good too. The service was wonderful, the man who helped us was very friendly and professional. If you go here, which you should, get an order of crab Rangoons, the honey chicken, and either the lo Mein or the fried rice.

This has to be the best chinese food restaurant in the city. I go to this place quite a bit, and it pleases me every time. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, the food is great, but, the service is easily the best thing about it. The man who takes care of you is very professional, always comes to check up on how you’re doing, and is incredibly friendly. It’s safe to say that this is probably my favorite Chinese place.

We usually order the sesame chicken or general tsos chicken combos which are amazing deals and are always fresh and tasty. We love that you can opt for lo mein or fried rice with meat as a side as well! Ordered for pickup tonight as our traditional Christmas night meal. I knew there were only maybe 5 other restaurants open in town so I expected they would be busy. Waited on the order for a while, but the staff never showed frustration even though you could tell they were overwhelmed with orders and they kept everything organized as orders continued to come in. We will continue to support this business!

First time eating here. I had the shrimp egg rolls and orange chicken. Both were great! The gentleman taking orders was nice and treated everyone that came in the same. Very cheerful will definitely be back to try some other favorites

Ordered food on DoorDash from them and it was absolutely disgusting. I would leave 0 stars if I could. It’s sad how much this place has went down hill over the years. The chicken was completely inedible, chicken was nothing but gristle, rice was hard and the spring rolls were sour.

Deserves a 0 rating. First & last time I’ll order from here… too many other options in this town.
Combination Fried Rice was horrible. (see photos) Meats looked boiled & added to fried rice afterwards. Was asked if I wanted to add egg, peas & carrots or any other vegetables to the fried rice. Added peas & carrots and they were HARD & UNDERCOOKED. The order also included Mixed Vegetables with a side of Shrimp Lo Mein. The Mixed Vegetables were steamed. Then they gave me a SALTY BROWN SAUCE on the side. I DIDN’T ORDER IT THAT WAY. And lastly, the Shrimp Lo Mein tasted like it was seasoned with only SALT & SOY SAUCE… NO GINGER, NO GARLIC… nothing else. It was way too salty. When I’m back in Lima again, will go back to Hunan Garden!
