⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars!
I had an excellent experience at China Wok located at 2556 E Bearss Ave in Tampa. I ordered a lunch special and was genuinely impressed—more than plenty of food plus a soda for under $10 is hard to beat these days.
The restaurant itself is very clean, and the live plants throughout the space were such a lovely touch —they really add to the welcoming atmosphere. My food came out quickly, which I always appreciate, especially during lunchtime.
The fried rice was on point, and the egg roll add-on absolutely hit the spot. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the candy dish for customers—such a small but thoughtful detail that really stood out.
You truly can’t beat the quantity or the quality of the Chinese food being served here. Great value, great food, and a pleasant environment. I’ll definitely be back!

We ordered vegetable lo mein which the noodles were pretty good and we got a side of sweet and sour sauce which was okay. The main problem was that the “vegetable” lo mein had almost no vegetables there was about three pea pods and three to four pieces of onion and that was it!! It’s pretty bad when they can’t even get vegetables right.

Broth extremely oily, tasted like corn oil, not traditional wonton broth. Super Yellow and mega oily. Wonton is typically light green or cloudy.

Their food is good but they never open on time and you can see them in there well before opening. Sat in the parking lot and thought if I called at 12:10 they’d at least answer. Nah could clearly see through the windows they ignored it. Also do not expect the lady to be nice cause she clearly hates her life.

Ordered A large House Special Fried Rice.
What I got was ALOT of yellow rice,with a few tiny pieces of pork that basically you can’t taste,something weird and white,might be chicken.. and tiny onions and peas and like 4 tiny shrimp, in an ocean of YELLOW TASTELESS RICE..
WASTE OF MONEY.
BUT..IT WAS REALLY HOT AND READY FAST IN THIER DEFENSE.

China WOk is part of an international chain of identical Chinese food places, like an oriental McDonalds. That is why you can go to any city and you will see the same menu, woks, counters, food photographs, panorama of a place in China on the wall, the porcelain cat that waves its paw and the little boy doing his homework.. So, it gets 4 stars because I buy inner there about once every other week, and the food is delicious.

Their drink machine needs to be cleaned out it’s pretty bad. The sushi was terrible hard rice with barely any eel. They want you to tip before you even get the food! I would love to show you a picture of my sushi.

I ordered beef & broccoli. It tasted good but I’m a little disappointed. There was barely meat in it. More broccoli than anything. I won’t be going to them anymore
