Food was fresh and tasted good, however there is no reason for cross contamination with finding shrimp in the chicken with broccoli when I have a shellfish allergy. I understand it’s Christmas Day and it’s busy but with proper kitchen protocols this should not be happening.

I ordered the shrimp egg foo young combination meal. The egg roll provided is a pork egg roll. You are charged extra for a shrimp egg roll. The sauce is bland, watery and it contains lumps. In addition, the filling consists of onions, peas and carrots and they are firm. This is one of the worst egg foo young meals I’ve ever eaten. Last week I ordered from another China Wok restaurant in Jville, via Uber Eats, and their shrimp egg foo young meal was delicious. The gravy was darker, thicker and it had more flavor. I will not return to this restaurant and I don’t recommend it to you.

So this was my favorite local Chinese place until today. Went in to pick up a Togo order and the customer in front of me had her whole order opened on the counter. Had a chicken wing in her hand and was complaining that it wasn’t her order. The counter lady took it from her and packaged it back up. After giving her the right order I asked for mine and she handed me the same bag the customer was digging through. The woman could not understand I did not want food a random customer had just had her hands all over. I left without lunch.

Do not order food from this place without being comfortable with all the failed inspections. Hygiene is terrible. Bathroom is disgustingly filthy and the floor is beyond filth. It’s a real quandary when the food can taste really good and fresh 60% of the time but you may be getting more than you paid for that you didn’t want as part of your order. I keep telling myself the floor and bathroom isn’t the whole story. Update! After a visit from the board of health, these folks cleaned up painted and gave a facelift to the takeout restaurant. They changed and updated a more conscious, cleanliness procedure and prepped and made a very tasty shrimp in Chinese vegetables for me recently.
I wanted to do a more recent update. They remodeled and updated the waiting area and counter and it looks so clean and pleasant. The food was fresh and cooked just as requested. In this case, I ordered shrimp with Chinese vegetables with a white sauce and it was delicious.
You watch the person who took your order turn around and go and prepare it without washing your hands after handling pens, etc., and they’re still wearing their jewelry, not so good. I looked up the food inspections and holy cow. They just don’t learn. Two or 3 failed inspection since January.

My go to takeout Chinese spot. I always place my order when I get into the car and by the time I arrive, the food is hot and ready to go. Never waited. The establishment is very clean and kept tidy. I love their fried rice, beef lo mein, general tso chicken, and krab rangoons. Their lunch menu is cheaper than any fast food around the area but the portions are good enough for two meals.

China Wok is a good restaurant and a solid choice for takeout. I’ve been here a couple of times and always had a positive experience. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Mushu Beef, which was quite good — flavorful and well-prepared.
The young lady at the cash register is very friendly, and the service is fast. My food was always piping hot and ready to go when I arrived. Prices are very reasonable, and I really have no complaints.

We moved to this area from Palm Beach county and have been looking for a Chinese restaurant up here. We tried this because it was close by. I have never, ever felt compelled give a restaurant a bad review because I know tastes are different and people working in restaurants work hard. But this food was just BAD! The pan fried dumplings- I don’t know what they really were, I had to spit it out. They looked like a gray-brown color and were wrinkly like intestines. The Wonton soup was bland and the wontons were rubbery. The House Lo Mein just had no flavor. My husband had House fried rice and just didn’t like and his Spring Rolls were stringy and bland and he pulled some long black stringy thing from his mouth.
Don’t mind spending money when the food is good, but this wasn’t anywhere near good. Jacksonville has sooo many good restaurants- this wasn’t one of them.
