My husband and I were picking up something from the neighborhood when we stumble across a hidden jade. We ordered the sweet and sour pork & Walnut shrimp both with chowmein. It was during lunch time so they offered us their hot and sour soup with lumpia. Everything was fresh and delicious. We moved here a couple of months ago and have not had good Chinese food until now. The staff were genuinely friendly. Price was very reasonable compared to other restaurants. So happy to have found this place. We plan on coming back again and again with our family. I definitely would recommend this restaurant to whomever loves traditional Chinese food.

China Village offers a delightful dining experience for lovers of Chinese cuisine. The menu features a great variety of flavorful dishes, from classic favorites to chef specialties, all served in generous portions. Service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is usually clean and comfortable, making it a pleasant place for both family meals and casual dinners. While some dishes can be a bit salty, overall the quality and taste stand out. China Village is a solid choice for tasty and satisfying Chinese food.

The food was actually very good but I ordered it through Uber eats. They don’t give you any options so you have to put anything in the notes which they obviously did not read.
I ask for chopsticks, I got zero eating utensils.
I ordered the vegetable egg for young, which was delicious, although it was just plain egg patties with vegetables dumped on top, but no rice was delivered with it and in the notes I requested white steamed rice because every other Asian food delivery asks you if you want steamed or white rice.
I asked for extra soy sauce and I got two packets.
Had I been given eating utensils and soy sauce and rice to go with my vegetable egg foo young I would have been happy, but who puts egg foo young on there menu without an option of rice? I would have been happy to pay for it if it would have been on the app to request it.
I also ordered the salt pepper chicken which would have been crispy and delicious without all of the onions and peppers on top of it… Maybe on the side.
We also ordered egg rolls which were very delicious. Light and crispy.
Mixed feelings here. The egg foo young delivered in a clear plastic snap container and all of the gravy was all over the bottom of the bag when I got it.
On the menu the diet Coke is shown as a cup with a lid and a straw. I got a warm can but I can deal with that.
We have to go find some utensils to eat with now, as we are at a hotel and trying to refrain from eating egg foo young with my fingers.

I had their lunch special which was Mongolian beef (spicy) with veg chow mein. Mongolian beef was excellent and it also came with soup (did not try) and 1 egg roll. I was stuffed after the meal and would order it again.

I feel I was racially profiled here. I felt rushed to hurry up and eat the whole time I was there. My boyfriend and I ordered four plates which came to be about 80 dollars, the price didn’t matter because the food was great. However, in the middle of eating. A waitress comes to me and says “anything else?” And I said “we’re still waiting for our food to come out” while we wait we are still being handed the bill and I explain to another waitress that we still have two dishes that have yet to come out. She apologizes, takes it away, at this point I’m already frustrated because the restaurant wasn’t even busy. They finally bring out our two plates and again barely finished with our meals hands us the bill. I’m an observant person and no one else was being treated this way. The couple in front of us were taken care of well by packaging up their food and weren’t rushed. Great food, but horrible service will not be eating at this place again.

In Santa Rosa and noticed the China Village Restaurant, where Rita’s Chinese Restaurant used to be. I was going to stop at Gary Chew’s Chinese Restaurant but I always have a hard time parking my truck in the downtown area, so the Chinese Village is it. What a great decision, the food was amazing, cooked perfectly, and delivered piping hot. The service was just as amazing, as was the cost. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

What do I need in a strip center Chinese restaurant? How do they get my business instead of Panda Express, for instance, when I am looking for that type of food? 1) have beer. Tsing Tao or Sapporo and one IPA. ✅ 2) serve quick ✅ 3) friend rice or chow mein is not wet (soggy) ✅ 4) lunch special soup and appetizer is quick to come out and fried properly ✅ 5) meal is stir fried properly and proper care was made in prep of veggies and meat ✅ five star, excellent execution.

These pictures are of their Mushu Pork. Now, I’ve had plenty of Mushu Pork throughout the Bay Area and this is by far, the skimpiest, least flavored, and most water based I have ever had. The “Pork” looks boiled and like it hasn’t touched a flame at all. I’m eating more of a stewed slaw in a pancake than anything. My wife got the War Wonton soup and it tasted more of a vegetable stock and mainly vegetables than anything. Finally, the Garlic Chicken we got was again, extremely watery and tasted like it came from a boiling pot yet again. For the price of 3 dishes and a large soup, it was about $70…not impressed at all and will find something else, I recommend you do the same.

We have eaten a lot of Chinese food across our travels – this was fresh vegetables cooked perfectly, well seasoned/flavored meats, noodles perfectly done with good flavor … we enjoyed our meal so much, we forgot to take a picture. The house chow mein is not just a side dish, it is a meal! A favorite is the walnut prawns – still crispy with just the right sauce – YUM! Everyone that we interacted with was so nice – attentive and kind. They chatted with the kids and seemed to genuinely care about us as customers (thats refreshing!). We will be back – a great surprise finding this place.

I would not eat here again. I stopped by, in person ordered 2 lunch specials and hot/sour soup. I ordered the general tso chicken with chow mien and sweet/sour pork with chow mien. The general chicken was dry and had no favor. The chow mein on both on our lunch specials were way too salty. The sweet and sour pork was chewy. The only item that was decent was the soup. Don’t waste your money.
