This place is horribly disappointing. And considering the lack of options of Chinese restaurants in Auburn Hills (TWO), it’s sad that there’s only this one and only one other that’s only slightly better.

First of all, before the pandemic, this place use to be a sit-in restaurant. But since then, they have still only kept it as a carry-out place only. It is sadly set-up when you walk in with make-shift plexi-glass to pick up your food and no one to properly greet you. It’s a depressing affair where at a fold-up table you pick up your food where there’s a register and someone eventually comes up with barely a word and takes your payment.

As for the food, it is some of the worst Chinese food I’ve had anywhere in the US. I had for several business partners ordered over 7 different dishes and appetizers and it was all very sad renditions of classic dishes found at any Chinese restaurant in the US. The Mongolian Beef was stringy, tough and the sauce was more tart than savory and flavorful. Weird taste. The Almond Chicken was dry and the gravy was gelatinous and practically flavorless. The Crab Rangoon had NO CRAB, it was all cheap ‘cream cheese’ that had an off-taste to it, and seemed like it had been made pre-fried earlier. The Kung Pao Chicken had what seems like frozen vegetables mixed with chucks of diced old chicken and a sauce that wasn’t so much sauce as a thick, bad orange horrible barbeque sauce. The ‘Fried Rice’ is some of the worse I’ve ever seen. It’s soy sauce with nothing else and rice that’s not often properly cooked (several meals had ‘fried rice’ where the rice wasn’t fully cooked–hard kernals). Disgraceful.

Food is great, fast and hot! Staff is super friendly at all times. Decor is a little dated but clean. Egg roll was a little hard and didn’t seem fresh. The General Tso chicken is excellent, not very spicy but more sweet. Chicken was really meaty with no fatty pieces. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food, super nice staff! Used to come here all the time with my family over the last 15 years before we moved. Recently visited Michigan and had to stop by! Food quality is excellent and prices are very reasonable. Ordered wonton soup, sesame chicken dinner, Singapore noodles, tea, crab Rangoon. All the food is LEGENDARY!! Literally so delicious! Was great to come back and visit! It’s always an excellent visit you can tell they put the quality into every plate of food they make!!

The food was very good. I would’ve preferred a bit more spicy. They did give us some chili oil. They were super friendly! Seemed pretty clean, but I did think it was maybe a touch warm inside. We had the curry beef and szechuan chicken.

The staff are always friendly, the atmosphere feels authentically Chinese, and the food is not only delicious, but is generous in portion size. As a rice fan, I cannot gush enough about their rice; it’s the best rice I’ve ever had. I always take at least one day out of my week (sometimes two days) to buy some fried rice from China Village. The rest of the food I’ve had was amazing, too. I can’t recommend this place enough; if you love Chinese food like I do, you do yourself a disservice by not coming here.

I ordered Orange Chicken, it was good but pretty sure the sauce was Sweet and Sour.
The fried rice was not even edible tho. It smelled like it was cooked in a charred wok, I even had bits of black char in the rice. Horrible.
Egg roll was soggy.

I went here when my daughter had a volleyball tournament nearby. I didn’t have very high expectations based on the exterior but The food was much better than I expected and the Service was kind. The atmosphere was a little rundown and not that many customers were there. It seemed like they had more carryout business than in house dining. It was enjoyable.

Quality is the food has gone down drastically. Ordered beef chow mein. All I got was a few pieces of beef and some large quantities for bean sprouts in a beef broth. The noodles were the the typical grocery store crap, not the pan fried noodles you would find in good chow mein.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I slipped and fell in there parking lot. Didn’t ask for or expect anything free just simply said that they should put salt down so it didn’t happen to anyone else. Mind you I’m 8 months pregnant. No apology no sympathy just eye rolls and attitude. Awful customer service and I won’t ever be back.
