We ordered take out for dinner. Sweet and Sour Chicken with fried rice. The chicken tasted stale. I don’t know if it was old grease or old chicken but even my dog said it was trash. The fried rice was a dark brown color so by looks you’d expect a lot of flavor. It was actually pretty bland but odd tasting. I don’t know how to explain it but my dinner went in the trash. The sweet and Sour sauce was thick and lumpy even though it was warm. Idk. This is my first and last time at this place.
Apparently I didn’t review this place 9 years ago. That’s ok, I’m here and tried it again.
Beef and broccoli and fried rice.
Sauce was thick and weird.
Never had sauce like that before.
The beef :
wasn’t slimy but it was ok. I could eat all of that. With 3 packs of mustard sauce is the only way I could.
The brawkily:
I can say I’ve never had broccoli as soft before unless it was streamed at a steakhouse. But never in Asian food. It was hard to eat so I didn’t finish them. My dog liked them
Fried Rice:
Was dark. Like sticky rice? Darkest rice iv ever seen. Or as sticky. Had no flavor. Trashed.
Egg roll:
Tases like they haven’t changed their oil or… Whatever oil they use is old and taste old and nasty. I still taste it in my mouth.
Sweet and sour chicken:
My wife ordered, When I was a kid it used to be cooked with the sauce, not sure why the sauce is always on the side everywhere I go. But whatever.
The chicken also tastes like old out dated oil.
I couldn’t finish my dinner, she couldn’t, and I’m left tasting old oil in my mouth. To say I’ll never come back. Glad I didn’t get crab-ra-goons. Oil taste
I ordered shrimp low mein, combo fried rice, and chicken wings. Low mein had little flavor and about 4.5 (yes there was a half piece) shrimp, combo rice barely had meat or egg in it, and surprisingly the wings were fresh and not dripping in oil.
Food was ready in a timely manner. Lady wasn’t rude in person thank goodness. Food was mid, nothing to praise about. I won’t be going back as an alternative to my regular chinese food places.
Grandview Buffet and Ma Ma China tastes way better, has better customer service, and has a much better portion to price ratio than this place. Food doesn’t have to be perfect for customers to enjoy a meal but rude employees will ruin it every time. Fix your attitude lady!!! I tipped but only because the cook looked beyond miserable. I can only imagine why if he has to deal with her all day.
Oh and the kitchen looks like a darn dungeon (low/little light, visible old grease stains on equipment and floor) and the dining area clearly doesn’t get enough care or attention.
It seems like they only get any business because of the location and that is reflected in the food and service. Don’t be fooled people. Take the extra 5-10 minutes and go elsewhere. Your taste buds will thank you!!
Stingy with the soy sauce, didn’t give me the chop sticks I asked for
Gave me 2 freakin forks for 5 meals, 3 napkins… Just ultra selfish way to be with folks spending money with you!
Restaurant esthetic actually looks fairly unkempt, like majorly.
Food was edible but not “good”. The Rangoon were NOT fresh, extremely small for the price.
Seems they use the same sauce for just about every dish. Would NOT recommend!!!
There are plenty of restaurants that value your money and have quality food, THIS is NOT one of them
