Nice little Chinese resteraunt. Kinda small, not much decor. My meal was really good and prices were reasonible. The place got alittle busy but the lady running the front was on it. Food came out quick and she check on us for refills. (She was taken care of multiple tables.)

We always appreciate a visit to China Taste. Our family has been going for years. It’s the only sit-down style Chinese restaurant in the area. There is a big menu with a broad array of options including your usual takeout style favorites, Thai food and hibachi, and the most amazing homemade dumplings!! Try them. Most places now are serving premade frozen ones. These are unique.

They serve wonton chips and sauce as your complementary appetizer too.

Cheerful, friendly service and speedy cooking. They also don’t ever skimp on the veggies, which I appreciate.

First time trying it and it has absolutely no flavor. I’m highly disappointed. I threw the whole meal away. The wonton soup was a weird yellow color and the wontons were overcooked.

I have eaten Chinese a lot of times and places but this is by far the best. Large servings and reasonable prices don’t hurt, either. Thank you and keep up the good food!!

When here for lunch on a Monday, it was pretty empty maybe two other customers.
As soon as you walk in you can seat yourself whether at a table or booth.
We took a booth as we were just a party of two.
They bring you Chinese noodle and sweet and sour dip right a way.
We ordered the lunch special chicken and cashews and a poo poo platter for two.
Both came very fast and was very fresh and delicious!
We also told the waiter that we would like a pint of wonton soup to go when we leave and he not only brought us a doggy bag he did remember to bring the wonton soup also the check came to the table and we paid directly from the table we did not have to go up to pay.
It is very neat and clean when you walk in with tablecloths that are covered and menus and silverware and napkins are on the table.
Excellent first impression will definitely be back here!

The fried rice was pretty good, but I wasn’t impressed with the lo mein or the pork dumplings. The noodles were mushy and the dumplings, though fried, were rubbery and sadly inedible. But if fried rice is your thing, you can’t go wrong.

The food has gone way downhill. Some of the food is ice cold. The dumplings are raw. The flavors are so inconsistent that every time you order the same dish, it never tastes the same. Nothing is crispy. It’s all mushy. I won’t be going back

UPDATE: I returned the food and received an apology and a refund. They were polite. And then they told me to come back in 2 days, suggesting their good cook works the weekends. So, perhaps wait til the weekend to eat here?

I live in Lynchburg so I don’t get to come here frequently but every time I’ve eaten here I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. We always get our orders to go and the egg rolls never make it home, hard to believe, but they’re the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere in the world. The rest of their offerings are equally amazing. My only complaint is that you can’t get just a plain order of char siu. That seems to be something endemic to Virginia as far as I can tell. Still, a great spot for Chinese food.

You guys need to list what’s spicy or not on your online menu. Just wasted 15 dollars on an entree that wasn’t listed as spicy so I got it thinking I’d be good. (I have asthma attacks from spicy food) got home with it and about died taking the first bite it was so spicy.

Very good food. Consistent. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable with booths. Portions are plentiful. I enjoy shrimp dishes and always serve large shrimps. Example with both Hunan and Szechuan entrees. Wonton soup also excellent. Very hard working restaurant.
