I had high expectations for this buffet, but unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but I decided to give it a chance and regretted it.
The biggest issue was the complete lack of food safety and hygiene. There was so much cross contamination, and the staff didn’t seem to care. I personally witnessed one staff member preparing sushi right after handling cooked fish, without washing her hands. They also reused the same spoons from the food warmers to mix other dishes, which is unacceptable.
Cleanliness and proper food handling are the bare minimum for any restaurant, and this buffet failed on both fronts. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values hygiene or food safety. Also DO NOT EAT THE ICE CREAM IT TASTE LIKE RUSTED METAL PROBABLY HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED STAY AWAY

Food was great. Well made, lots of options , they had varieties of seafood options. Nice salad bar with cold options, the dessert had many options too, the restarts self is small, not that small but being that it’s always busy, we could do with more space. We were five and able to fit in a booth but wasn’t very spacious, but was ok. Found it strange that you had to pay first before being seated, guess it’s for loss prevention. They also had a sign about maximum time being 2hrs.

A Delicious and Worthwhile Buffet Experience!
This buffet was such a pleasant surprise! The variety of dishes is amazing — from Chinese cuisine, sushi, Korean BBQ, to Western-style salads, desserts, and seafood. The crab legs and grilled steak were especially popular and tasted great.
The environment is clean and well-maintained. Dishes are refilled promptly, so there are rarely any empty trays. The staff is friendly and quick to clear tables.
Most importantly, it offers great value for the price. Weekday lunch is quite affordable, and although it gets busy on holidays, everything is well organized. Perfect for family gatherings, hanging out with friends, or birthday celebrations.
If you’re a foodie, this place is definitely worth trying!

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and immediately invited me to view the buffet. I stayed—and I’m so glad I did. I haven’t had such a delightful meal in a long time.
Every dish was perfectly prepared: hot foods were served piping hot, cold dishes chilled just right. The buffet was well-stocked with full trays, and more food was constantly on the way. Presentation and cleanliness were top-tier—well above the high bar I usually expect.
The service was just as impressive. Drink refills and table maintenance were handled smoothly and promptly. The restaurant was fully staffed and clearly prepared to accommodate large groups—if I had walked in with 25 people, they could have served us all without missing a beat.
I enjoyed my experience so much, I came back later in the week and brought friends. This is definitely one of my new favorite spots and is currently the only buffet on my radar in San Diego.

I came to this buffet bc I was having really strong pregnancy craving. I should’ve seen the red flag when they wouldn’t allow me to see what they were serving. We paid 45$ at the door to enter. Once in I was shoved by multiple children running around the restaurant. I was only able to eat a few select things like the broccoli or the mushrooms, and even then they were undercooked, which is bad for my unborn baby. I went to get some Jell-O and a sweet treat and noticed a little girl was licking the frosting with her finger off of the chocolate cakes. They also didn’t provide silverware at the table. It’s a giant pot full of the silverware and they’re still wet Things on them there’s a lot of bacteria in this restaurant. I went to the desk and let them know that there were a lot of things I couldn’t eat and they would not give me a full refund. They only refunded me $20 and I was only in there for about 10 minutes.
Please consider going to the Grosmont buffet. Do not waste your money here.

This restaurant has the most disgusting and tasteless food ever. My sister and I decided to come to this place tonight since we haven’t been to this place in a very long time. My sister and I ate some food and we were disgusted. The food was bland and the food was undercooked and cold. Everything was disgusting. Years ago when my family and I came here everything was delicious. And now it’s horrible and disgusting. Even when I went to the ladies bathroom it was disgusting. Super disappointed in this restaurant, never coming back again. The sunrise buffet in Clairemont is so so so much better than this. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid this place.

I had not been here for at least 10 years and the food continues to be surprisingly good. They have great soups and a variety of options/dishes that include seafood, chicken, beef, as one expects from a buffet. Everything is very tasty. They are not monitoring how much you eat as in other restaurants. Sushi does not disappoint. Please stay away from french fries, pizza, chicken nuggets, and mac&cheese, as these are quick fillers and not worth eating at a Chinese buffet. I will definitely come back. Price per person has increased slightly, but what has not here in Cali. Recommend.

This is a great Chinese buffet restaurant. Prices are reasonable. As you see from the photos, the food is fresh. As I sat and ate, I watched the kitchen staff multiple times refilling the food line. Nothing was ever cold or semi warm that was supposed to be served hot. The fish options were plentiful. I love the fried shrimp and in my home town, sadly, I rarely see this served anymore. This restaurant delivers all expectations for a Chinese buffet restaurant. The establishment is clean, service is fast, A must visit place.
