The BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had. Compared to NYC, the food in this place is tasty, flavorful and delicious. And they are not cheap nor skimpy with their portions either. I kept talking to the young lady up front taking the order. She was so sweet, kind as well as attentive. My family and i are definitely coming back here. I found everything we have ordered to taste so delicious. Thank you China Star for your service and great food. On our way back home to the city, we could not help but to talk about how good the food was from this place. Sorry, NYC, Yorktown Heights is competition and I’m all for it. First time ordering from here, take out. moved into yorktown 2 years ago. I didn’t see good reviews but tried & I guess I should’ve payed attention to reviews. Anyway, Tried a boneless ribs and a few egg rolls (just to try a little something). Ribs were so overcooked & the egg rolls were just ok. Very disappointed, will never order again.

Best takeout around… I love the BBQ spare ribs and beef fried rice. The owner Mike is a great dude and always accommodating. I eat there a couple of times a week. Very affordable as well.

Ordered general tso chicken. Received sesame chicken. I called the restaurant and was told to add hot sauce to it to make it spicy like general tso. Rice was stale. Food was terrible, ended up throwing out the entire order. Will not be ordering from here again. Exceedingly disappointing on food and service!!!

SO yummy! I brought home the General Tso’s Chicken Special Combination for my boyfriend and the Shrimp and vegetables for myself. It was SO yummy. It took no time to cook from the time I placed my order. The vegetables seemed fresh and just crispy enough. Mike took the time to understand what I /we really wanted for dinner as well. I highly recommend Mike Guo and China Star Restaurant! PS, Mike seems to have a very nice relationship with his customers that walked in…a lot of customers must be long time customers.
