I recently discovered China Star Asia Garden on Jonesboro Rd, and it exceeded my expectations! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with each dish served hot. I loved the variety on the menu, which catered to my adventurous palate.
The staff, was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring I had a great experience from start to finish. I also appreciated the quick service, making my visit seamless and enjoyable. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for dining in, and their takeout service was just as convenient.

The food was great! We tried the pork egg rolls, shrimp spring roll, philly egg roll, fried chicken, fries, salt and pepper shrimp and shrimp fried rice. I was pleasantly surprised. I will say the rolls, rice and chicken were not the best I’ve ever had but it was a pleasant surprise to find good Chinese in the area. Would definitely recommend and would go again to try more stuff and to get more salt and pepper shrimp.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered food for delivery and the restaurant made a mistake with my order. I politely asked if they could replace the item and allow me to pick it up another day. Instead of helping, the representative was rude and dismissive, saying that wasn’t possible and blaming poor communication on us.
Things escalated when she demanded we send the food back with the driver. I explained the food had already been thrown away, and she actually told us to take it out of the garbage and return it. That request was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I told here that will not be a problem for me to take the food out the garbage and send it back with the driver. SMH. On top of that, the food itself was not worth the price—heavy on vegetables and lacking quality. Overall, this was a frustrating experience with terrible customer service. I will not be ordering again.

Been going to this restaurant once a week. The lady who usually works there will already what my order as soon as she see me. But too bad she’s gone.
The past 3 times I’ve been there seems a lot different. Yesterday’s experience was something I can’t let it pass.
I was trying to ask questions about tofu and other vegetarian dishes but the lady seems irritated with me asking too many questions. She told me to just look at the menu. I left the store and told her, I’m a customer and I need to be respected and given time since I am spending my hard earned money to buy food there. VERY IMPATIENT! I wish they kept that lady that usually works there. She was precious. I WILL NEVER SPEND A PENNY IN THAT RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN.

VERY STINGY PROTEIN!!! They get a star for taste, which is decent. BUT they’re very stingy with the protein! The dish is filled with vegetables with a few pieces of meat/chicken mixed in……not worth the price. We’ve been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in/near McDonough and find that this one have dishes that taste decent and is clean. After ordering for the third time, I noticed a trend….STINGY WITH THE MEAT! We would not be returning. Now we have to find another restaurant to satisfy our occasional Chinese food cravings.

Ngl I was a bit nervous from the reviews, but this place really isn’t that bad. Food was good and tasty to me, and the staff made sure to attend to us from time to time. Though I will admit we were the only people there and we dined in, this place is a pretty good option if you want some Chinese takeout.

I went in with low expectations as sometimes Chinese food is hit but mostly misss.
But man oh man was I surprised! The lady taking orders via phone was great , clear communication & only had to repeat the order once.
The wings were a 10- I ordered lemon pepper flavor
& my triple crown almost put a crown on my head it was so good!
& the soup, was made to perfection.
They definitely have a regular customer now!

Absolutely horrible experience! Stay away! I ordered over $100 of food using Grubhub and we were missing part of our order. The restaurant could not have cared less! They just blamed Grubhub and Grubhub blamed them. I was accused of overlooking the food because she was sure she packed it but the bag was sealed when it got here over 1 1/2 hours later. We ordered 2 egg rolls, got 3 and missing the hot mustard, so their QA process sucks! I substantiated the issue with a photo of what we received and then was asked if we could drive 20 mins to pick up the missing item. Oh no, that’s why I ordered from Grubhub to begin with genius! She said they could not give a refund because it was against store policy. Perhaps your store policy should guarantee correct food and good customer service. The food was not fresh and I WILL NEVER order from them again. Do not use China Star in McDonough.

I ordered house fried rice, egg foo young, and honey chicken. The egg foo young was delicious, but the honey chicken was very hard and dry on the inside (like it was old), and the chicken in the house fried rice did not look or taste like chicken.
The customer service was good and a lot of people kept coming in and ordering food. …plus their reviews were great, which made me order from them. Maybe it was a bad day and I will try one more time just to make sure.
I am not downing the place…just giving a review based off of what I ordered.

Absolutely love it here! Me and my family recently moved from New York, so we were pretty picky with Chinese food. Although the food they sell here isn’t the authentic Chinese food we were looking for, it was still delicious nonetheless! I got the shrimp egg foo young and it was so good! Definitely recommend! The workers here are also very kind. I was having trouble picking what to get, and he was very patient and guided me throughout the menu. The interior with the shelves was also beautiful! 9/10 overall!
