10 7 17 i ordered the sesame chicken with no sesame seeds combination dinner with shrimp fried rice and cabbage filled egg roll. Food was delicious and very nice size serving for 2. I paid $10.79 only issue is the restaurant was dirty looking. Egg roll was crispy and delicious.

I ordered Chicken Broccoli Combo with hot & sour soup. Chicken was rubbery, fried rice was tasteless and soup was a thick gel texture with no sour taste and no spiciness. Spent $12 and couldn’t eat any of it. Very, very disappointed. This place used to be okay. Won’t be going back.

Excellent crab rangoon. Large portions reasonable prices & friendly staff. A lot of shady characters hanging around pan handling & trying to sell you things standing outside the restaurant. This can deter you from wanting to go there often but the food is good.

I ordered the Sesame chicken combination. And they even allowed me to get my sauce on the side. Most places won’t let you do that, or if they do they’ll charge you.

Come on people. Tell me, when did fried chicken, rice and gravy become a Chinese staple? So, they call it Almond Boneless Chicken, however, there are no almonds. My husband ordered their so-called Almond Boneless Chicken. I asked them if they could put almond on his dish and they stated, “We don’t carry almonds.” When we got home the breading was separated from the chicken. It looks like sliced, fried calamari, stuffed with chicken. There are only two Chinese restaurants, so far, in the city of Detroit, that I’ll give a great review. I won’t speak about them on this restaurant’s page, however, keep following me, you’ll learn about them. As for China Star, upgrade your, Frozen Chicken and buy some almonds

I’ve eaten twice here in the passed 6 months and both times was ill with diarrhea the next morning. I wouldn’t have gotten it a second time had I remembered that it made me ill the first time. My children reminded me. I don’t know what’s going on in this establishment but I will NEVER return and urge anyone else not to. I had to dump the remaining of my $13 meal and I’m very tempted to contact the health department.

I only get the vegetable lo mein or vegetable fried rice. I enjoy it and will come back. I’ve only eaten here a couple of times and I don’t have any complaints.
