This place definitely deserves a better rating! It is the best fast takeout Chinese place in Avon Lake by a long shot! The food is always super quick and extremely delicious! My favorites include the Egg Drop Soup, Sesame Chicken, and Crab Ragoons! Additionally, the service is top notch and the prices are extremely affordable! If you are looking for Chinese takeout in Avon Lake, this is the place to go!

Ordered a large shrimp fried rice at lunch … all to come home and it was pork fried rice smh … I don’t even eat pork … then when I called to discuss what had happened he’s gonna say No you ordered Ham fried rice?? Even while ordering I said 4 egg rolls and he repeated back ok and 1 egg roll. Instead of saying sorry I apologize can we make it right or half off your next order … he continues to argue with me about what I said …never again …either he’s slow or hard of hearing ♂️ maybe both.

Vegetable Egg Foo Young had no vegetables just a lot of onions. Egg rolls were old and burned. Chicken in the chicken and mixed vegetables dish was slimy. Will NEVER go back! Bad food!!

Just had it for the first time tonight and I will definitely be a repeating customer, the food was absolutely delicious and hot when it was delivered. I loved it! Been living here for 3.5 years now and haven’t been able to find a good Chinese restaurant until now

Food is decent and the place seems very clean but the wait times and prices are absolutely outrageous (they have had these high prices even before the virus outbreak). I’ve had to wait upwards of an hour for my food before and a simple combination plate will cost you about $10. Also twice now I’ve had one of their cheap sauce cups bust and then leak sauce over everything in the bag. This is especially annoying since an extra cup of sauce costs $2. I used to love this place but now I literally will drive into Elyria for Chinese because China Star is almost always a disappointment now.
