They usually serve great food and we order from this location all the time. I gave them an overall good rating but my last order was beef fried rice with extra beef. This was the 1st time the meat was awfully tough or fatty tasting. VERY disappointing! Had to throw out 90% of the meat.

Our go-to Chinese takeout place in the area. Portions are very generous and the food is always great! Pictured here is a large order of shrimp with garlic sauce (amazing, shrimps are large!) and a small order of shrimp lo mein. We usually order the same thing every time and this place is very consistent with the quality. I figured it was about time I leave a review!

Very DISHONEST people!! Told me my total was $22+ dollars..so I said, ok. Round it off to $25. When the food arrived: The total was only $20.01…so they quoted me an extra $2–to get over 20% gratuity. Nice try! NEVER. AGAIN.

It’s not often I comment on Chinese food because usually most taste standard. However, not this location! If you are looking for Chinese food DO NOT go here!!! I ordered shrimp fried rice and received yellow steamed uncooked rice and raw shrimp! When I called about rice I was told that their rice is yellow, so I said well it’s not fried rice! How very disappointing and false menu representation. It’s no wonder why place is ALWAYS empty. I suggest you get a better cook or change menu to steam yellow rice!

We’ve tried all the Chinese restaurants in the area, and China Star is by far the best. The food is fresh and made to order and the service is always quick and friendly. The Hubs especially loves that they customize his order and make it extra spicy. The menu is extensive and you can’t go wrong, no matter what you order.

I love this place. Been living in the area for 4 years and I couldn’t find a good Chinese restaurant until my first time here 3 weeks ago and I’ve already come back twice. It is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the entire Tampa Bay area. I’ve tried a variety and have never been satisfied until now. This place is great, the people who work there are friendly and very polite and professional. I am happy I finally discovered my “go-to” place. Before I found this place I was reduced to ordering Panda Express, but now never again will I need to order from Panda. I found the gem of Tampa Bay. Coming from NY this is important to me. Thank you for the great food and service. I am happy to support this business.

Wish there was a lower rating than 1 star. Food is good. Customer service is -187. The kid on the phone serves zero purpose. You ask him a question and he has to ask someone else for the answer. Couldn’t figure out how to look up our order, then come to find out they only had 1 order out for delivery. Should have been pretty easy to figure out it was ours! Food was 1/2 hour late when we called, said the driver was 6 minutes out. another 1/2 hour later without food we called again. We didn’t want food that sat in someone’s car for over an hour if it were to still arrive, they wouldn’t even refund our money. Shitty way to treat customers.
