My family and I have been going to China Star for over 15 years! Each time they are incredibly nice, and the food comes out consistently delicious.
I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants in Delaware, but they are still the best I have had. They are a core part of Smyrna, and if you haven’t been there you should definitely give it a try!

My family and I got food from this place over the sumner last year and it was really good, which is why I came back. Today my daughter and I were in the area and decided to stop in for dinner. I don’t know what happened between now and then but the food we got today was so disgusting! I thought it was just me but I could tell the oil they fry in was old. We both got chicken wing platters with vegetable fried rice and the chicken was indeed fried in old oil, and the vegetable fried rice tasted old too. They put mushroom pieces in the rice, which I’ve never seen mushrooms in typical vegetable fried rice and the mushrooms looked old. The food also had a weird smell and left a terrible aftertaste in our mouths. I hope it doesn’t make us sick! Needless to say we will never buy food from this place again, and do not recommend anyone else to eat here, buyer beware!

I love the Chicken and Broccoli at China Star in Smyrna De. The Chef adds the perfect amount of Chicken and Broccoli and the flavor of the sauce is perfect no need to add anything to the sauce. The employees are nice even on their busy days. Typing this review is making me want a Large Chicken and Broccoli.
All of their dishes are delicious. (My Family’s Opinion) The atmosphere is quiet, when you enter the Restaurant the floors are clean and the kitchen has the waiting area smelling delicious.

The lady that handed me my food was rude .. again. Had an attitude to begin with and then seemed bothered when I asked her for soy sauce which she only gave me two packs and walked off. I won’t be coming back. I don’t have time for rude and unnecessary behavior

We dined in, they accommodated with the two chairs they had and we used the window sill for the kids.
The food was AMAZING! The soup, which I’m not a huge soup person was so GOOD! The wontons were incredible, perfect dough! The dumpling dough was pillow soft, fluffy and they were HUGE, so much meat inside! The general tao’s that my husband ordered and asked for extra spicy, they really hooked him up! I would highly recommend! We will be stopping again the next time we are back in town.
I wish this establishment was in my neighborhood.

This restaurant has been around for over 20 years. The food is amazing and I have eaten almost everything. But right now, my favorite dish is shrimp human. No one can fix it like them. I traveled from Wilmington to Lower Smyrna to get it. Please stop by and taste it for yourself.

Thanks to Google Maps I found this Chinese restaurant because I am not from the area. Date of visit was Wednesday November 13th 2024. I had the chicken chow mein and it was fresh, made to order, and very hot. I highly recommend this fine restaurant.

My wife and I are food industry professionals, and I value open communication when dealing with issues. Unfortunately, this restaurant didn’t meet expectations so I called to handle it quietly between them and I. I wasn’t even looking for money back; just merely to say never serve that again. The fried rice was overcooked beyond consumption and unappetizing. When I tried to address the problem, their response was nasty and very unprofessional – they hung up on me several times and I wasn’t even upset about the matter I was just telling them what I received. I literally wouldn’t have fed that to a dog. I’m relieved I didn’t eat there and have no plans to even return. In the interest of upholding integrity, I’ll be reporting this incident, and with my wife being a Serve Safe instructor let’s just say they were nasty to the wrong ones. One shouldn’t compromise people’s money or stomachs.
