1 chicken with mixed vegetables & one beef.
Yellow rice bomb 90% of the dish was old stuck together yellow salty rice.
3 tiny mushy limp broccoli 9 huge end cuts of celery stalk chunks, mushy baby corn, sliver of carrot, water chestnuts.

” Hey I know we can put a Ton of rice on the bottom and put a little bit of main dish (that’s terrible tasting) in order to save money. Not too many vegetables only 4 tiny bits of chicken they cost money, put lot of celery chunks for cheap fluff!”

I am a little surprised about the bad reviews here. So far, all the food I ordered has not failed me. I recommend the Bourbon Chicken and Mongolian Beef. I will say some food is more sweeter and greasier than others, not perfect but decent food here.

While I will say the employees are nice – I ordered a beef & broccoli lunch special. When I got back to my office it was beef, green peppers and a ton of onions. Despite fishing out the onions, i tried to just eat the peppers rice and beef but it just wasn’t very good at all and ended up in the garbage. 🙁

The food was really sub par. I ordered a sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken , boneless spare ribs and 3 pork egg rolls for 56$. The white rice it came with smelled spoiled. The sweet and sour chicken all batter, the spareribs rubbery, sesame chicken small. The egg rolls were good. I strongly don’t recommend ordering here.

13.00 for a soda and chicken broccoli that had 6 pieces chicken and 8 pieces of broccoli. And about cup and half yellow rice in the container and the food was gross I couldn’t eat it. Very disappointing.

I love this place. Wonderful customer service! I have been going to China Star, over four years, for take-out. I order food, pay, then go shopping at Aldis. By the time i get back to the restaurant to pick up my food, the food is bagged well and hot. I can honestly say, i have never gotten a bad meal there. The Won-ton soup is the best I’ve had in Broome County. Very flavorful with large won-tons. I’ve ordered a number of different dishes, all have been good, but most often I order Broccoli & Beef with yellow rice, won-ton soup & pork egg roll. The broccoli is fresh and perfectly cooked to a nice firmness, plenty of beef and the sauce is amazing. I do not find their prices to be any higher than other Chinese Restaurants in this area, but i do find their food to be more to my liking. When i order I always point out the dishes i want on their menu. Ive never had a problem being served with anything other than my correct order. Its aways correct, and so good.

Everything tasted off. Even the white rice. The “pork” egg rolls contained only cabbage, and tasted like the oil was dirty. And I’m pretty sure the fried scallops were imitation crab nuggets, also cooked in dirty oil.
The lo mein I got on a previous visit was flavorless, like plain noodles with a little brown coloring.
I normally don’t leave reviews like this, but how do you make white rice taste bad?
I won’t be back, or recommend this place to others. Too bad because the people are friendly and the service is good.

From the moment I walked in to I left, the gentleman was so nice and friendly. I ordered 5 wonton soups and all came up very fast. Great service and great staff. Thank you guys. I will be back.
