I’ve been ordering from China Star since I moved to Highland Park in 2007. Over time it’s changed owners and the menu has changed a little. What hasn’t changed is that food is delicious! I got an orange chicken combo with pork fried rice and it was SO GOOD! I had asked for extra spicy orange sauce and it was great! The orange sauce is really well balanced and not overly sweet. The pork fried rice was also really good and not greasy. The portion was very generous and I saved half for lunch the next day.

Do not order from this place. The food is awful, and the staff is incredibly rude. If you’re looking for spoiled food and terrible customer service, you’ll find it here. This business does not deserve support from paying customers. How are you so rude to customers willing to support you. This is horrible and I can’t wait for them to be shutdown.

Not only was the food amazing but the service was even better!!! It’s a family owned restaurant and you can see/ sense that as soon as you walk in. One step in and you’re feeling very welcomed! the service was fast and efficient making sure we had everything we needed before taking off. will definitely be ordering here again 🙂

Walked in here unsure but left out very satisfied. I was greeted by a well mannered young lady who took my order. She explained the benefit of paying in cash vs card. The food was exactly how I asked it to be cooked. The taste was excellent. This was my first time here but won’t be my last.
