So after passing this place nearly every day for years, I decided to try it out. I ordered shrimp fried rice, I got shrimps and rice with soy sauce. Because I paid $13.00 I ate the shrimp and some of the rice but tossed the rest. My first and last time at china sauté!!

Really impressed with this restaurant. We’ve stopped for Crab Rangoon’s over the years because they’re THE best! We decided to try a few plates last night despite living far from the location. The lady up front was so sweet. The food was still hot and fresh after getting home. It tasted like quality meat, unlike most other Chinese restaurants. Not so greasy. Our family all agreed that it’s the best we’ve had. The orange chicken was our favorite. One plate can easily serve 3 people. We already have plans to go back to try more and dine in.

Ordered the crab rangoon, chicken egg rolls, steamed dumplings, chicken lo mein, and pork egg foo young. The crab Rangoon was VERY good! Just the right ratio for breading and filling. Breading was light and crispy, filling was tasty, and sauce complimented it perfectly. I personally did not eat the egg rolls but my partner and mother in law did and they felt they were mediocre. The steamed dumplings were HUGE, and very filling, but pretty good especially with sauce. The chicken lo mein was very good however wish the chicken was a bit crispier. And lastly, the pork foo young was delicious but..they put the gravy on top rather than on the side (how I’m used to). Personally I’d rather it be on the side to prevent it from getting soggy but besides that point, it was very tasty. Would definitely order again.
Also, saw some negative reviews about the front service receptionist. Whomever I talked to, they were very nice and accommodating. To each their own.

The eating area was clean. However the amount of junk behind the counter looking into the kitchen was unpleasant. The lady taking orders was rude. I paid $14 for a shrimp roll that had 1 shrimp cut up, a yellow mush inside and very tiny, a order of wings that were actually 6 wingettes that wasn’t cooked all the way through nor cleaned properly and a Pepsi. Coming from New York this was a bad experience.

My favorite chinese food restaurant in Charlotte, it reminds me of the restaurant I grew up on from back home called Taiwan’s on university in Berkeley CA. Sweet and Sour shrimp, shrimp fried rice ( they do shrimp good) and chicken lo-mein in Cali it’s called chowmein but we’ve adapted, & mama that answers the phone and handles the orders is so Sweet! #BAYMONEYTAROT on YouTube

When I called I immediately requested delivery, she took my order then said it’ll be 10-15 min. I then repeated that it was a delivery. She says, “No delivery. Sorry have a good day,” and hung up. Wow! Will never eat here again. I’ve ordered in person but wasn’t aware they didn’t deliver. I would have been glad to pick it up if I was made aware. Save your money and go where you’ll be appreciated. I really think people still go here for convenience but there’s another Chinese restaurant nearby that delivers and has better food AND customer service.

The lady who works in the front taking order she’s kinda nasty rude and very obnoxious and after I’ve ordered chicken with garlic sauce and it taste so sucks and when the food is ready I asked for hot sauce and duck sauce and she gave me one of each and than I asked for more she said straight in my face ,” I don’t have any sauce “ so you’re telling me that you’re running a food store and you don’t have any sauce and she’s also got a attitude problem how to handle the customer professionally and inside the restaurant is so nasty including the restroom and I’ll suggest everyone not to go in this Chinese restaurant and it’s called,” China Sauté “ 9252 Albemarle road Charlotte NC 38227

I placed an order a few weeks ago and realized the sauce for the crab rangoons was missing once I got home. I spoke with the owner’s son who took the order, explaining to him what happened and that I didn’t feel like driving back to get it. I asked how can you make this right and he said the next time you come back, we’ll give you a free order of crab ragoons. Today, I was placing an order with the extremely RUDE and ignorant woman that’s always there explaining to her what happened (which she remembered). Instead of honoring what her son promised, she offered the sauce without the crab rangoons-how ridiculously ignorant is that?!?!! Needless to say I canceled the order and informed her that she lost a customer for less than $10 (cost of the crab rangoons). I will gladly take my money and spend it at another Chinese restaurant (which is a dime a dozen) where I feel appreciated as a customer. Too often “they” setup establishments in our communities and don’t sincerely appreciate our business. Not only was this an act of ignorance and sheer greed but also a poor way to managed a business. I will share this experience and discourage as many people as I can to not support this establishment.
