I’m not sure who serves mandarin chicken like this. I got a heavy plate of chicken cut in big thick strips and some gravy that is not appropriate for the dish. I should’ve checked my bag before I walked out because this is ridiculous. I don’t see a big enough reason for me to go back. The sesame chicken was…not sticky, not really sweet… just thick pieces. Really wanted to like my dinner today.

The bean curd pork thing and the eggplant pork dish and the chili oil fish are things I continue to crave and dream about I’m so sad they don’t do free shipping with Uber One. Unlimited rice is a lovely plus. This place is great. I would bring my immigrant parents here and that’s saying something.

Very authentic and flavorful Chinese cuisine. GREAT VALUE. One of the best places for Chinese food in New Orleans. Definitely recommend the stir fried green beans, sizzling beef platter, sliced fish filet with wild hot peppers, China rose duck, dong po pork. Cannot recommend this place enough I wish I could give it more stars to be honest.

Been here several times and never been disappointed. Ordering from the authentic menu is the way to go if you’re looking for a more traditional dish with strong flavors. Great food and service.

Best Chinese food I’ve had near New Orleans. You have to ask for the authentic menu or else they give you a limited menu with sesame chicken and such. The eggplant + fish dish is so good and I’m not even a big eggplant fan.

Hit the spot the tummy. Good food, great service, reasonably priced for serving, made my day. Chicken Fried Rice, Pork & Shrimp Eggroll, Chicken Mandarin with sauce on the side, Veggie fried rice with Tofu and Fried Wonton’s. Pickup order, the staff was jolly in a positive mode especially after Hurricane Ida just hit.

Hadn’t been since they were in Lakeview, still great. Good food, good service, large portions, very nice staff. Relaxed atmosphere.

My husband & I have been big fans of China Rose for almost 20 years we eat there at least a few times a month, the last couple of times the food quality was still fresh but the taste has really changed, it’s changed allot, I’m wondering if it’s different owners or something, we order the same thing just about every single time so I think we would notice, the fried rice is old and they don’t put anything like onion sprouts or egg in it anymore and it has a burnt taste now, I ordered chicken & broccoli which usually is nice chunks of chicken in a brown sauce with broccoli and what I got was chicken slivers with a heavily garlic tasting white sauce with no other flavor it had broccoli and carrots in it so this isn’t the chicken & broccoli I’m use to getting from them, the egg rolls use to be some of the best now I can’t stomach them, the shrimp toast so greasy can’t eat it, cho cho so dry, over fried to the point they were inedible, crab Rangoon’s over fried and stale tasting very hard , I don’t know what’s happened but really wish they hadn’t changed the food so drastically they were 1 of the best Chinese food spots in Metairie, I really hate to buy guess we’ll be in search of a new place to try really hate that we are but can’t continue to waste money on food that isn’t worth it anymore.

I really wanted to say something nice but I just can’t. Food was not good, service worker is overwhelmed so it was bad too. You can’t have one person working the whole place. The bill was so not worth it. Not a redo.

Great authentic Chinese food. You must ask for the Chinese menu. The best pork steam buns I’ve ever had. Great service, cant wait to go again and again. We drive an hour to get here.
