Second time coming here and the food is amazing. The green salsa chilaquiles are the best in town. The menudo is made from scratch to include the corn just like grandma would make. The cafe de hoya is delicious a try experience. The uniformity in coffee cups and plates makes you feel like you are at your grandmas house. The prices are truly fair specially for the quality and presentation of the food. This restaurant is a hidden gem in central El Paso. The atmosphere is chill and Edson provides the best service. You are greeted with a smile, he explains everything and truly friendly. His attention and customer service is from a top rated restaurant. Don’t miss out on this amazing place. Lastly they seem to have changed their staff and management and the previous negative reviews are not a reflection of what I have experienced my last two visits.

I stopped by here today after Mass at St. Patrick’s. Estupendo!! Mid cumplidos para el chef!! Café de Olla… definitely fresh made. Huevos Rancheros for breakfast was also an amazing choice. I’ll have to come back to try the rest of the menu!!

The Chihuahuas sampler, featuring Machacado and three cheese enchiladas with beans, was an explosion of flavor and left me thoroughly satisfied. With an extensive breakfast menu available all day, the options are plentiful. The atmosphere is both quaint and spacious, and the friendly service, particularly from the older man working there, added to the enjoyable experience. Was pleasantly surprised when we asked for a lemonade and it was fresh squeezed. We didn’t just get a serving of it but a pitcher to refill our cups. Food was *chef’s kiss* and the man in the front was quirky and sweet with very dry humor but he made our experience fun. Highly recommend this place. Especially for their líquados.
