I love this place! We visit Boston often and love trying new restaurants. We decided to stop by China Pearl for dinner. The Dim sum was incredible. Everything we got was amazing, including the drinks! The servers were very helpful with it being our first time there. The atmosphere is comfortable, clean, and relaxed. The prices are affordable too! I highly recommend checking China Pearl out if you are in the area.

Amazing ! I don’t know where to begin! I had the extreme pleasure of visiting the renowned China Pearl again , I was a very frequent customer in the 70s & 80s and moved away but was so happy when I revisited Chinatown to see & experience the Wonderful Food, Welcoming and Warm staff , incredibly nicely & tastefully redone remodeled interior , there’s also an elevator and plenty of street parking and lots in the area , visit this vibrant delightful place for great food and the capacity is amazing and what a great spot for parties and Weddings very large can hold close to 200 I believe a beautiful bar and the list goes on thanks for a wonderful experience I will be back often!

China Pearl is a longstanding and well known Chinese Dim Sum placed in the heart of Boston’s Chinatown, which has been closed for years due to renovations but recently reopened this year.
The service is pretty much the usual, they use dim sum carts that they push around. It helps to know Cantonese, but they also have menus to help identify what each dish is and if you want to order specifically from the menu.
The dishes are the standard type of dim sum dishes you see, such as chicken feet, sesame balls, bo luo bao, and more. Each dish was around $8, which is also similar to other dim sum places around Boston. As for the taste, it was fulfilling, but pretty standard as well.

Delicious dim sum! We had bbq pork bun, shrimp bun, and lotus paste sesame roll. The tea is also amazing.
Loved the atmosphere. Many similar places focus more on taste quality than ambiance but China Pearl nailed it both. A great place for a date or (like in my case) a place to meet some old friends while I’m in town. We didn’t realize we stayed past closing time (and we weren’t the last ones to leave). Highly recommend!

We came here on Sunday morning, we didn’t need a reservation, but it does get busier during lunchtime. It’s your traditional family cart style where you can pick whichever dish you like. The quality is OK. Most of the food is kinda on the soggy side, but it does fixate the dim sum craving. Unfortunately, there is no soy sauce bottle so if you need to get more sauce, you have to request it every time. there’s parking for 20 bucks for two hours right next to the place otherwise it’s tight street parking.

Came for cart-style dim sum on a Saturday around 11 am and didn’t need to wait. The dining room is spacious and clean, with plenty of staff and good service. The dim sum was tasty, not too salty, and portions were just right. A comfortable and easy dim sum spot.

We came here for a friend’s birthday with a large group and could not have had a better experience! Patty, the manager, reached out beforehand to make sure everything was set and that we’d be comfortable. The restaurant was so accommodating — we brought in a cake and balloons, and they couldn’t have been more welcoming.
And the food — absolutely unbelievable! Every single dish we ordered was delicious. Hands down the best dim sum in Boston and easily one of the best restaurants in Chinatown. It’s the perfect spot for a large party, with incredible service and a lively atmosphere.
I’ve lived in Boston for a while and eat out often, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!

We’re so happy to be back here! They were closed for renovations for a while, and we used to enjoy their dim sum regularly. This time, though, it’s even better than before — the new interior is beautiful, and the service has improved a lot. The staff now take orders in English, and the experience feels smoother and more comfortable than before. The Shui Mai and Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf are hands down the best in Boston!
