I’ve been coming here for years. I stay further away then I used to but I still come back here cause they’re the best. Sherry has always been super nice to me and met me with a warm smile and great advice. I always look for her when I do come in but everybody else has been sweet as well. 10/10

My first visit to China Palace. I had the Chicken w broccoli lunch special with brown rice and an egg roll.
I really liked it very much. The best chicken w broccoli I’ve had in North Carolina since moving here 4 years ago.
The sauce was perfect. I tasted the ginger and garlic without being overwhelmed. It was not salty and the chicken wasn’t overcooked. The broccoli and carrots had a nice snap to them while still being cooked to satisfaction.
Being a transplant from New York, I value good pizza and Chinese food. I hold it to a high standard for both. China palace passed the test!
The hostess, Shelly, was very welcoming and pleasant. I will definitely eat here whenever I crave Chinese food! There’s a reason they’ve been open since 1986. Eating here transported me back to my local spot in NYC! Thank you for the experience!

It’s a lovely Chinese restaurant on the corner of a shopping center. However, once you go in you are greeted and seated. You are waited on quickly and given ample food, it made two meals for me. Absolutely delicious! My husband had shrimp with lobster sauce and the shrimp were huge! I had sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. We went back later in the week and had lunch. I had vegetable fried rice that was out of this world. Highly, highly recommend!

This restaurant offers a diverse selection of dishes, including both American Chinese food and authentic Cantonese cuisine. The service is exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff. While the decor may appear dated, it is well-maintained and adds to the homey atmosphere of the establishment. Overall, this restaurant provides a delightful dining experience with its delicious food and welcoming ambiance.

We were out and about and decided Chinese food was required. We went to China Palace. The last time I was there, was with my mom and her Countryside Retirement Village friends. My mom passed on 2-14-19 so it’s been a minute for sure. But I remembered how good the food was. A quick check on Yelp found a 95.5 Health Score and 4 Stars. We dined in and it was fantastic. We ordered a bowl of Crispy Noodles to start. They met the standard for crispy goodness and we added salt, as we always do. We also got two lunch specials that included a main, fried rice and an egg roll. I ordered the Honey Spicy Chicken and Hubs got the Beef LoMein. We shared bites and both were very good. But the egg roll was the star of the show. They were heads and shoulders above the standard egg roll fare. I’m not sure what gave it such excellent flavor but it wasn’t just cabbage. They were outstanding. We will be back for another dine in experience.

My family and I ordered to go from here on 12-4-25. When we arrived to pick up our food the lady at the front desk was very polite. For four combination plates the total was $70. With a 3% surcharge added for debit/credit transactions. Honestly we hated the food. Everything tasted the same. EVERYTHING. We got the “kung po” chicken, sesame chicken, and honey spicy chicken. Everything was watered down. Nothing was “spicy” nor crispy as advertised. Great customer service , terrible overpriced food. I do not know who is keeping this restaurant open honestly.

Tonight I ordered food from china palace for my wife. I go in to pick up the order and it was a little busy. But I was next at the counter behind another gentleman. The lady came from the back and rang up the gentleman in front of me. Then I thought she would get me next she over looks me and takes a white gentleman who just walked up from his table to pay and was behind me. I’m like Whoa! Did this just happen? Well after she took care of that gentleman she scans the area, then looks at me and says have you been helped? I said no and I was here before the gentleman you just helped. Then she says oh I’m sorry like that makes it ok. She saw me there originally waiting. I wouldn’t have went ahead of someone else who was there before me. It’s just common courtesy. Anyway, since the original owners retired, china palace has gone down hill fast in food preparation and customer service. My wife just tried her food and she said it was cold. This is not the first time I’ve encountered this at this restaurant. I played it off before. But now I am officially retiring my money from supporting this local business.

The China Palace Restaurant Experience (Dine-in Edition). I stumbled upon a Chinese restaurant I frequented when I was younger. Uncertain if this was the same establishment, I thought I would give them a try. I had a little drive to make it to China Palace as I reside outside Kernersville. I was greeted at the door and sat at a booth. I ordered their Honey Spicy Chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll.
While waiting for my food, I went to the restroom to wash my hands, and it appeared clean at the time of my visit. My food came to the table in no time. The Honey Spicy Chicken had a hint of mesquite flavor. Tasty but a different tone than I am used to when eating Chinese food. The pork fried rice did not taste fresh and tasted as if it were leftovers from yesterday. The egg roll was decent, but I have had better. However, I did receive good service, checked on often, and my beverage remained filled.
So would I return to China Palace? I don’t believe I would return. Nevertheless, if this is the same restaurant I frequented when younger, they have stood the test of time. We are talking about 20+ years in this industry and still standing. Which means a lot in the world we live in today. Their service was good, and the establishment looked clean inside; however, I am not a fan of their cooking style.

Expensive. Food was delicious, but for what you pay… High quality but overpriced. We paid nearly $80 for take out for 4 people. Small portions and a long wait. It’s a 1 minute walk but we drive elsewhere.
