usually come here for chicken+beef chef specialty since no other take out in town does this combo. i also tried their shrimp+tofu lunch special before. as per the chicken/beef combo in the picture: i can’t pick up an older photo but recently the meal looks different from what i got recently, and tasted different (this time, the chicken wasn’t really covered in sauce as it usually is). still, it’s a nice meal.
i believe of all the take out places in glen cove, this is the only that gives you crunchies and fortune cookies (maybe only with a chef specialty? not sure about regular purchases). otherwise, they don’t give you plastic utensils, which is fine but just be aware. overall, this is a good place

What ever you do, DO NOT PLACE YOUR ORDER THROUGH GRUBHUB OR ANY OTHER APPS. Call in your order in. They charged me an order that was supposed to be $55, $78! And It was for PICKUP! I was overcharged for simply ordering from the app! On top of that, the restaurant charged me an additional $7.5 because the App GrubHub doesn’t specify the sizes of order, I made sure to specify size- so the restaurant charged me 30% for each item I requested a large in. I have to further look into this. Something is off.

This simply is a great restaurant! Service is fast and friendly, portions and prices are very reasonable. The quality of the food is consistently stellar. One of the best things about China Palace is they were one of the first takeout places to reopen after the pandemic, and they have earnestly worked hard to serve the community during a very difficult time for everyone. We are lucky to have them here!

Excellent take out. Super busy when I went which is a good sign. Everything was really good. Fried veggie dumplings, broccoli w tofu, fried rice, special won ton soup: all very tasty and fresh. They deliver but I prefer to pick up. You can get beer next door at stop and shop and you are all set!!!
I have to add that during the pandemic we have had CHINA PALACE delivered about once a week. We can eat for 3 days from $40 worth of their food. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. The food is truly delicious. The jumbo shrimp are really jumbo and they give you huge amounts of shrimp. They are so nice on the phone and the delivery person is super accommodating.

The food here is delicious. Good size portions for the price you pay. I typically get take out food as to the restaurant itself is small and minimal in appearance.

First of all the person who answers the phone to take the order sounded like she couldn’t even be bothered. But that could be overlooked if the food was good . I placed a take-out order the other evening and that will be the last time they will ever get my business. I never ate such disgusting food in my life with zero taste. I ordered chicken with blackbean sauce which was basically Black bean sauce with carrots onions and green peppers and the few pieces of chicken that tasted like MUSH .

Delivery 2 hours late! I live in a senior residence and reception desk closed and doors locked ! I called multiple times and they kept felling me driver was only 5 minutes away ! I live in a n assisted living facility am disabled and had to go to the lobby from my apt to get the cold food !!! I had already eaten

When 730 came I called them and told them to have the driver eat the food and credit my account. They ignored me of course.. I tasted the food .. awful, dry, undercooked, part of the order was left out. This restaurant should not be in business. They have no expertise in service. Cooking.What customer service.

I never throw out a whole meal because I didn’t like the way it tasted, but this is the first exception. But I got shrimp beef lo mein and general Tsos chicken and it tasted exactly how sink water smells.
