Average atmosphere for Chinese take-our place. Not fancy and not horrible. Just plain. If I could have graded the food BELOW one star, I would have. I questioned the man at the register, about my order, before I left, to make sure I got the correct items I ordered. I ordered SPRING ROLLS (4 of them, price was $6.00 for 4). Expecting a nice crunchy exterior, with shredded cabbage, grated carrots and maybe some ground pork, I got a mouth full of mushy rice. And, the light, crisp exterior I expected, was thick and tough, like the dough had been worked too long. But, truthfully, the lack of crunchy vegetables was such a put-off. I took 2 bites of one egg roll, and am sitting here looking at 3 1/2 egg rolls going into the trash. I ordered Tung Ting Shrimp for my entree. It is described on the menu as shrimp with tiny corn cob, broccoli and straw mushrooms in a white wine, egg white sauce. When I opened my entree, I immediately noticed that it was covered in white “stuff” that looks like egg white slime that is not cooked thoroughly. I absolutely LOVE shrimp, but when it is covered in slime, it is instantly off-putting, and I cannot eat it. I raked the white stuff off one piece of shrimp, ate HALF of one piece, and could not stomach anymore. Also, there was literally 2-3 small corn cob in the entire order, regular mushrooms, cut into quarters (NOT straw, as in the description), and massive pieces of bell pepper, which is not mentioned in the description. If the bell peppers had been mentioned, I would have asked them to omit them, because I do not eat bell peppers. Finally, the crunchy noodles that they give you, with your soup? They are not even like they have been in the past, or at other Chinese restaurants. They were not thin and crunchy. They were thick and cut into triangles (like little Doritos) and were not fried like usual. They were tasteless, and obviously rolled out, shaped, cut, and baked not fried.
Out of a $30.00 order, I ate 2 bites of mushy rice inside a sad spring roll, and 1 bite of slimy shrimp. I did, actually eat my fried rice, (which was firm rice, and not mushy like in the spring roll) and I drank my canned Coca-Cola.
I have gone to China Moon for at least 10 years, but tonight will be the very last time I will visit them. I will spend my gas money and meal money and travel to Meteor Buffet in North Huntsville, or literally ANY OTHER CHINESE RESTAURANTA, before I set foot in China Moon, again. I was literally ripped off $25.00, of my $30.00 meal!
I hope you can see the egg white “slime” on my meal. And, I took a photo of my “supposedly” thin, crunchy soup crackers.

Whoever made the general Tso’s chicken tonight didn’t want anyone to taste the food tonight. It’s way too spicy! I like spicey, but this was weaponized spices.

I have to be honest on this one, it wasn’t a good experience. I try to refrain from leaving a review at all if it’s not positive, but I feel I wouldn’t be fair here if I didn’t leave the honest feedback.
It was dimly lit, which is fine…until you begin to question what you are eating or drinking and can’t see it that well.
One of the tea containers were empty, so I asked if the other one was sweet. The gentleman stated that it was sweet (it wasn’t as I soon realized, I filled an entire cup of unsweet that I ended up pouring out). I then got a second drink, an orange soda from the fountain machine and I immediately realized the soda machine had flies in it (now in my drink, see photo). I did nicely show the gentleman as well as the woman, then poured out that drink as well. I ended up getting a can coke from the cooler.
The chicken. Well, I ordered Sweet & Sour chicken…it wasn’t horrible, but it was a bit different than the usual sweet & sour chicken you get at similar restaurants; huge pieces, kind’ve spongy, but again not bad so I’m neutral on the chicken. I hesitate to add that several of the pieces were coincidentally shaped like small, eh, “animals” which was only exaggerated by the fact that the experience had been a rough one thus far.
Lastly, the fortune cookies. I do love to get the fortune cookies at this type of restaurant…I will usually eat the cookie & read the fun little messages. I would venture to say these particular cookies were significantly past their expiration date, I seriously about broke a tooth before having to spit it out, it was like biting into glass.
Unfortunately, this visit was a bad one. I may give it another shot in the future (after some time has passed) because I try to be open minded that everyone has a bad day. Will update review if a future experience is better.

Do NOT deliver but has their page setup for delivery keywords. Then has the audacity to be rude when you simply ask if they deliver.

My wife and I just found a razor blade in her food. It hurts me personally seeing as I’ve been eating here since I was 10. When we went there to confront the owner about it, he didn’t even seem to care and just made excuses. This could’ve been one of my daughters’ food.
