My boyfriend ordered take out for our family tonight. I did not go in to order as he did. However, he told me they were very nice and thanked him for his service.
As we got home and opened our bag, everything looked and smelled great. Let me tell you it tasted even better!!
Egg rolls, soups, and entrees were a hit. We will definitely be returning customers! Thank you for satisfying our cravings!

If you are looking for an out of the way hole in the wall American Chinese food, this IS the place! The wonton soup had excellent flavor plus just the right amount of green onions. The egg rolls were hot, crispy, and oh so delicious! Great cabbage taste. I got the General Tso. The chicken was delectable with no gristle. Lightly coated and flavored with a generous helping of the sauce. The yellow rice with vegetable made the combination very flavorful indeed. And this one came with generous but not overly generous heads of steamed broccoli. Honestly, imo this was the best Chinese food I’ve had in many, many years. If you are a fan of PF Chang or some other bougie Chinese restaurant, this is NOT your place. But if you want delicious Chinese American food for the average person with generous portions and very reasonable prices, this is your place. Highly recommend!!

My second time grabbing takeout from here. The first time was a bit underwhelming. The General Tsos Tofu did not have a lot of flavor or spice. However, this second visit was much better! Their Sweet & Sour Shrimp with Fried Rice was delicious, as well as their Fried Crab Sticks for an appetizer.

Beef and broccoli and General Tso’s were just okay. Egg rolls were horrendous. Didn’t seem to have any filling whatsoever they were just dough. Boneless spare ribs were gamey and mostly hard crunchy fat. A total waste of 60 dollars and I will never go back

Worse Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. First, they messed up part of my order. I ordered pepper steak and they gave me beef and broccoli. I was annoyed but no big deal. My sons ordered sweet and sour chicken and as you can see I the pictures the chicken was raw. When I called to tell them the manager was very rude to me and hung up on me twice. I spoke to another worker there and he accused me of lying. Worst food and customer service I have ever experienced. I never write reviews for restaurants, that’s how bad it was.

I used to enjoy coming to China King in Goochland. It was one of my favorite Chinese restaurants—until 12/22/25.
After church, I ordered a General Tso’s chicken combo and drove back home to Fluvanna. My husband and I shared the meal. As I was finishing my food, I took a bite of broccoli and felt something hard stick into the roof of my mouth. I immediately spit it into my hand—and it was an animal tooth.
My husband called the restaurant to let them know what happened. They told us to bring it back so they could see it. We drove back to China King, and when my husband showed the woman what injured me, a man came over and repeatedly said, “No way, no way—that’s a bone.” He tried to break it but couldn’t. At one point, they almost dropped it, and I had my husband take it back so we could keep the evidence.
The man then tried to explain that it came from chopping food. I told him clearly that it was not a bone—it was a tooth. He became angry. The woman asked for the receipt so they could refund us, but she also noticed we still had the remaining food and asked for that as well. I told my husband not to give them the food.
When I went back inside to get the receipt, the man began yelling, “No problem, no problem.” I calmly told him he was right—there was no need to argue—and that I would contact the USDA. He stormed off, visibly upset, and went back to cooking.
Honestly, all I wanted was a simple apology and to know not to eat here again. I didn’t even receive that. Up until this incident, this had been a friendly place to order food, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
I’m sharing this to warn others to please watch your food carefully. They have lost a loyal customer.

I had the lunch special shrimp egg fu young which was very good and you get a rather decent amount of food. My only complaint is that I wanted to order 4 chicken wings and the woman told me I had to order 8 chicken wings because that’s what’s on the menu. However what exactly does one person need with 8 wings if you already ordered food? If that is their minimum order then I can’t knock the hustle however that was rather odd to me.
