Don’t be fooled by the exterior, inside you’ll find a solid Pan-Asian menu and warm, family style customer service. They’ve recently updated the decor which makes it feel more open and modern. We love the bubble tea bar. Sushi is on point. Portions are generous and pricing is very reasonable – the pan fried noodles are easily a meal for two. When we go at lunchtime there are always full tables of locals tucking in to huge plates, which is one sign of a great spot to me.

Food was great, service was fantastic! The menu is HUGE, definitely going back to try other choices.

We had Pho, Lo Mein, soup, and some crazy fruit drink, all of which was spectacular. Did not disappoint, great option if you want some Asian food.

Recently remodeled, really nice sushi bar area. I’ve heard the boba teas are pretty good, I’m not a fan myself of boba but it’s worth a try if you’re looking for a good smoothie.

Service is really good, always friendly. Food is pretty good, I’ve tried a lot of their sushi options and some rice dishes. Only thing I didn’t like was the Pad Thai, tastes like it’s from a box.

The food was satisfactory, although the prices seemed a bit high considering the portion sizes. While we were waiting, our meal sat on the counter, but we were not notified that it was ready. Furthermore, I had requested no vegetables in any of the dishes, yet they all had broccoli in them. They were removed before we departed.

As a Vietnamese, I’m very happy we have a restaurant like China King here in St. Thomas. The food is so good and very authentic for Vietnamese dishes. They have Bún Bò Huế, Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese savory pancake), and roasted pork belly—not many places offer that, especially on the island.

A new Vietnamese owner took over last August, and since then, they released a full Vietnamese menu. The chef and owner are not shy—they show off real Vietnamese flavors. I respect that a lot. Many Vietnamese restaurants in places with small Vietnamese community, they change the taste to match the general population, so the food becomes more bland but they are not afraid to keep the full traditional Vietnamese menu, just like what you find in big city or at home.

You must try their Phở—it’s phononemal . If you want something more bold, try the spicy soup Bún Bò Huế—very flavorful. Their Bánh Mì is also really good—my husband said he hasn’t had one this good in a long time.

The service is great too. The owner, Johnny, is always walking around, checking on tables, talking to everyone. We even told him we couldn’t find bean sprouts anywhere in St. Thomas—and he said they cultivate their own fresh bean sprouts in-house. What!! That’s so awesome . They could just use shredded cabbage or something else, but you can really tell they care and put in the effort to keep the authentic Vietnamese menu. That’s dedication.

Also, try their Bánh Xèo and roasted pork belly—they are Vietnamese classic side dishes you don’t always see on every Vietnamese menu. So if you see it here, try it

As a Vietnamese, I can say these are the same flavors we would have at home in a Vietnamese household.

We think this is one of the best meals we had on the island for local food.
I’m so glad St. Thomas now has a place like this. Good job, China King! A very good addition to the island!
We will be back for sure… and do you guys do delivery?

Vietnamese is such a welcome addition to the food scene in St. Thomas! Thank you for expanding the menu to include not only Chinese and Sushi, but also Southeast Asian dishes.

Service was friendly and speedy, and the restaurant is clean and bright.

I got the crispy pork belly vermicelli bowl this time, but I’ll be back again to try more!

Update: Went for lunch, large portions! Everything was fresh and made to order.

From 6 years ago: Guys loved their noodles and sushi was ok I wasn’t a fan of the Pad Thai but that is sometimes a hard dish to get right. Overall we would go again. Staff was very friendly.

Warning: eating at China King may lead to addiction and an inability to pronounce the menu items . But honestly, it’s worth it! The Kung Pao chicken is LINGERIN’ in my belly hours later, and I’m already planning my next visit . Service was speedy, prices were reasonable, and the decor… well, let’s just say it’s a vibe

If you don’t like MSG, don’t sit by the speaker, and don’t order the Szechuan sauce unless you mean it, you’ve been warned . But if you’re down for a flavor explosion and a side of carb coma, China King is the move

Visited China King whole was on vacation with friends; our party consisted of 6 people, and we ordered individual meals and started with sushi. The food arrived before the appetizer and before the sushi . The restaurant was not busy, but they did have a lot of to go orders. Staff struggled to get our silverware and refill our drinks. While chicken wings were amazing, the rest of the food was an average.
