If you want hot flavorful food with a lot of selections and welcoming service and not to mention three (3) lady’s to take your money! Then this is not the place to go. It is true you will have three (3) ladies to take your money and say iam sorry! I think it was the owner? That asked how every thing was, I said food is cold she said just put it out! Not sure she mention the cat or the food. Give this place below 1 rating, but if you like cold leftovers I would say stay home. Did not offer senior discount !

Eat here at your own risk!!! Oh my!! This was my first time ordering from China King and I’m so sorry I bothered! I started with the bbq spare ribs and egg rolls. The ribs were so tough and the sauce tasted like cough syrup. The egg rolls weren’t any better, I literally spit out what was in my mouth! I also ordered Kung Pao chicken that I refuse to taste based on the ribs and egg rolls I can’t stand another bad dish. The chicken in the Kung Pao looks like it’s beef! $60 wasted!

The China King is decent. Only place to get good Chinese food in Waynesboro. There buffet is hit or miss and usually better during lunch hours. Its a smaller buffet but has a good verity. (General tso’s, pepper steak, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli) the cheese wontons are amazing! The take out is always hot and fresh. Very good, very friendly staff. Recommend eating here if you looking for Chinese food in waynesboro

This is our favorite local Chinese restaurant. What it lacks in atmosphere and service, it more than makes up for in the wide range of dishes, all prepared beautifully. Whether you opt for the buffet or order off the menu, every dish is nicely prepared and seasoned perfectly, neither too salty or too bland. The Buffet is quite extensive, even including some non-Chinese offerings for those who prefer. The serving dishes at the buffet are small, ensuring that they are refreshed frequently and the food does not get stale sitting on the steam table. Some of my favorite dishes are the hot and sour soup, Szechuan green beans, lo mein noodles, pepper chicken and steamed dumplings. There is plenty to choose from for vegetarians and carnivores, alike.

We enjoy coming here and have been coming here for 20+ years. The food is good and the service is decent for a buffet. HOWEVER, do you think you could go back to a uniform dress code? And hire employees that actually keep themselves busy doing something OTHER than standing around behind the counter playing on their phones? I truly do not know what happened to the professionalism in this establishment but over the past I’ve seen “servers” with pink, blue, green, and whatever color hair on the one girl, who also wears pants with holes all thru them.When this restaurant opened decades ago, they all looked very professional in black shirt and black pants. It gave the feel of an actual dining experience, now it feels like a club hangout. I completely understand freedom of expression, but some standards should stay traditional. Dress codes of some type still should be considered when working with the public. It’s shameful to see this attire every time we come in to eat. And why have these girls on the payroll if they don’t do anything but check people out and play on their phones? I have yet to see any one of them grab a broom to sweep or even a cloth to wipe tables down. The owners still do all the seating, clearing of the tables, and sweeping, as well as being food out to customers. Instead of wasting money on people that dont take some of the weight off your shoulders, save that money for yourselves to take vacation.

Nothing we tried from the buffet was edible . The tea was good . The staff was very polite & nice . It was a disappointing meal , or the small amount of each item tasted bland & had an aftertaste which did not resemble anything food like !? Definitely our 1rst & last time at this restaurant. Sorry , but it’s the truth .
